The Feybreak Update in Palworld has introduced a new feature: Raids. These challenges reward players with a variety of rare and valuable items after completing them. One of the most powerful raid bosses added recently is Xenolord, whose attacks are just as deadly as his appearance. Here’s a guide to conquering Xenolord and adding him to your Pals collection.
How To Start The Raid In Palworld Feybreak
The Xenolord boss is summoned by placing a Xenolord Slab at a specially constructed altar. This Altar unlocks after you reach Tech level 33. While the rest of the Pals in the game can be found hidden in caves and other places, Xenolord doesn’t naturally spawn anywhere. Instead, you’ll have to build an Altar and summon this powerful Raid Boss.
How To Get Xenolord Slab In Palworld
You get Xenolord slabs by combining 4 Xenolord Slab Fragments at a Workbench. Getting these fragments is not an easy task as they are only seen in the dark dungeons of Feybreak. Exploring the caves is risky, and will need adequate preparation beforehand with good weapons, Pals, and strong armor
If you want to fight the Ultra version of Xenolord, you’ll need the Xenolord Ultra Slab. This can only be obtained by fighting the regular version of Xenolord.
How To Build A Summoning Altar For Xenolord Boss In Palworld
The Summoning Altar for the Xenolord boss is built with 100x Stone and 20x Paldium Fragments. Each Summoning Altar can only be used once. If you wish to summon Xenolord again, you must gather supplies and build another altar.
Stone can be mined at various places around the island. Paldium Fragments can be obtained by mining Blue rocks with crystal veins. They’re also sometimes scattered on the ground on Feybreak Island.
Palworld Feybreak: Xenolord Boss Fight Prep
Xenolord’s Boss fight is among the hardest challenges that this update has. His extremely high HP and powerful attacks can kill you within seconds. To make things more intense, there’s also a 10-minute time limit to the raid, so you’ll have to defeat him before the time runs out.
Armor For Xenolord Battle
- Get strong armor, preferably the Hexolite Armor with the Helmet. This armor possesses high durability and defense, making it very useful while fighting Xenolord.
- Items like the Attack Pendant, Life Pendant, and Advanced Shield are a big help in the fight.
- Since Xenolord is at level 60 when he’s summoned, make sure that your character is around the same level or higher before the fight begins.
How To Defeat Xenolord
- Use weapons like Rocket Launchers, Plasma Cannon, and Gatling Guns to directly target Xenolord.
- Another way you can defeat him with ease is by building a Palbox near him. This will cause Xenolord to focus only on it, giving you an opening to attack him. Carry many repair kits with you if you aren’t playing in normal settings.
- If you plan to defeat him using Pals, you should go for Ice-type or Dragon-type Pals. Xenolord is both Dragon and Dark type, so these Pals will deal enough damage on him. You can go for Frostallion, as he pierces the enemy with Ice lances and blades.
- A Flying Pal like Astegon is also a great choice, to avoid the powerful laser attacks from the boss.
- Xenolord can sometimes summon minions like Xenoguards and Xenoinvaders. It usually does twice – once when you have depleted 1/3rd of the health bar and the next at 2/3rd. Focus on them first if that happens, get them out of the way to then concentrate on the boss.
- It’s very important to keep moving around during the raid, as Xenolord’s attacks can come hurtling towards you very quickly. You can go for Air Dash or Jump boots to help you move away faster.
- Keep chipping away Xenolord’s health by attacking him from a distance while your Pals attack him head-on.
Xenolord: Drops, Abilities & Skills
Defeating Xenolord is very rewarding as you’ll get all kinds of items after it. The first thing you’ll get is the Xenolord egg, which is the only way you can add him to your collection. Pick the egg up and incubate it to get Xenolord offspring.
You also have the chance to get:
- Ancient Civilization Core
- Ancient Civilization Parts
- Meteorite Fragment
- Precious Dragon Stone
- Ring of Dark Resistance
- Power Fruit
- Life Lotus
- Training Crystal
Having Xenolord will be helpful while traveling around the Island since he can be ridden as a flying mount. Your movement will also be much faster while flying, which is a plus point if you want to defeat bosses with your Pal. This Pal has Level 1 Gathering skills. Xenolord’s passive skill is “Invader” (30% stronger Dark Attack & Dragon Attack) and Otherworldly Cells (Attack +10%, Fire Damage Reduction 15%, Lightning Damage Reduction 15%).
Xenolord’s abilities are listed below.
- Dragon Cannon – Level 1: Will shoot out a draconic energy ball at the enemy.
- Umbral Surge – Level 7: Will release orbs in a fan-like shape, good for blinding enemies.
- Satellite Bit – Level 15: This is where Xenolord will develop wings with auto-attack ability. As soon as you attack an enemy, these wings will follow them until the damage is done.
- Beam Slash – Level 22: This has the Pal form a high output beam that can slash the enemy and drastically reduce their health.
- Astral Ray – Level 30: This unique skill has Xenolord gather dark energy and release it on the enemy.
- Cosmic Meteor – Level 40: One of Xenolord’s most powerful abilities, this has him going up into the air and then releasing meteors on the target. Once that’s done, he will charge towards the enemy.
- Omega Laser – Level 50: This has Xenolord form a light of destruction that can burn anything in its path.
Satellite Bit, Beam Slash, Astral Ray, Cosmic Meteor, and Omega Laser are skills that only Xenolord has, making him a must-have for your Pals collection.
