Heartopia has a variety of weather, and you can check the forecast in your watch by clicking on the sun icon next to the time. While most weather forecasts are straightforward, you might find yourself wondering what the meteor shower weather means.
Meteor Showers and Finding Shards
When the meteor shower starts, it lasts for about six hours, which is usually the case for all weather events in Heartopia. I love the visual of the meteors in the sky, and they offer an easy way to tell if a meteor shower is currently happening. If you look up and see the meteors, then it’s time for you to head to Onsen, which is the northern portion of the map.

There are currently 18 possible locations where meteors land, and you can find nine meteors during each shower. When you find a meteor, it looks like an ore node, but with a different color crystal on top, such as white, blue, and purple crystals.

Some meteors might be on cliffs or tough to spot, but the possible locations are limited, so make sure you look around the marked spots in case they’re in a semi-hidden location in order to get as many Starfall Shards as possible.
Meteors don’t respawn during the shower, so there are only nine meteors to harvest. Each meteor gives you three Starfall Shards. This means that you should get a total of 27 shards from each shower.
The Stardust Collector Achievement in Heartopia is earned when you gather 60 Starfall Shards. Since you get 27 shards from a shower, you’re going to need to gather shards across three showers to earn the achievement.
Using Starfall Shards
When there’s a meteor shower going on, you can find a time-limited vendor in Onsen. Doris is only present during a shower, and you can find her to the north of Eric, which places her right next to the bus icon on the map.

Doris is the only vendor that lets you use the Starfall Shards to purchase items. She has a selection of different furniture pieces in multiple colors, so you can fill your house with meteorite-themed designs. When the shower ends, she’ll no longer be available as a vendor, and you have to wait until the next shower to find her again.

You’ll notice that Doris’ stock is separated by color. You can trade white Starfall Shards for colored ones through Doris. While Doris’ stock shows that the furniture is available in blue, green, pink, purple, white, and yellow, the green and pink options don’t seem to be available for purchase yet. Here’s a full list of furniture. The furniture is the same for each set, and only the color changes between the sets.

Since meteor showers don’t happen all the time, I recommend keeping an eye on your weather forecast and making sure you hop online during the showers if you can in order to get Starfall Shards. With how few you get at a time compared to the cost of items you use them to purchase, it’s going to take awhile to get a full set of meteorite-themed furniture from Doris in Heartopia.
