Getting the best talents and nurturing them is the way to go in College Football 25 Dynasty mode. While it takes a ton of practice and trial and error to get the recruitment process perfect, Here’s a guide on how you can start.
Recruiting in College Football 25
You will have to find “Prospects” or potential players to start recruiting. This is going to be a lengthy process and let’s explain it in a step-by-step format:
Step 1: Add Prospects to Your Recruiting Board
First, go to the Dynasty mode and enter the Recruiting menu. You will notice that your Recruiting Board is empty. Now, head over to the Prospect List to see potential players. Here, you can see a list of players you can recruit by pressing ‘A’ on Xbox or ‘X’ on PlayStation.
Step 2: Understand Prospect List Columns
The columns of your prospect list can tell vital information about the recruits. For example, POS refers to the player’s position while INT will tell you how interested a player is to get in your team.
Here are all the prospect list columns and what they mean:
- TAR: Indicates if the player is on your Recruiting Board
- RANK: Shows the player’s ranking in their recruiting class
- POS: Indicates the player’s position
- NEED: Shows if the player fills a position needed on your roster
- NAME: Displays the player’s name
- RATING: Star rating indicating player quality, with Five-Star being the highest
- INT: Player’s interest level in your team; blank if not interested
- STAGE: Decision-making stage of the player (e.g., Open, Top 8, Top 5)
- ST: Player’s home state
- PIPE: Pipeline region from which the player is recruited
- CLASS: Player’s current class and year
- OFFER: Number of Scholarship offers received by the player
Step 3: Sort and Filter Prospects
Sort the Prospect List by any column to prioritize certain attributes. Apply custom filters to narrow down the list, such as targeting only four-star recruits or players from specific states.
Step 4: Manage the Recruiting Board
Regularly update your Recruiting Board to remove uninterested players and add new targets. Keep the number of targets to a maximum of 35 to stay focused.
Step 5: Gather Information on Prospects
Fully scout each player to uncover more attributes and key insights. Check the Overview screen for details on top schools and Dealbreakers. This is important – if you are not able to meet the player’s Dealbreaker then in most cases you will not be able to take them on your team.
Step 6: Influence Prospects’ Decisions
Select ‘Add Action’ to choose different approaches to influence a player’s decision. You can either directly message the player on social media or reach out to the player’s inner circle.
Each action costs hours, so allocate your weekly hours strategically.
Step 7: Offer Scholarships Wisely
You have 35 Scholarship offers for the season. Therefore, offer Scholarships to players you have a good chance of landing. Avoid wasting offers on top-tier players unless you meet their criteria.
Step 8: Weekly Recruiting Management
Check the progress of your recruits each week. Ensure you remain above the cutoff line as players narrow down their options.
Step 9: Adjust Recruiting Board Regularly
Take off players who are no longer interested or viable options. Continuously add new prospects to keep your board full of potential recruits.
