The Omni Tool is an all-in-one equipment made for you to carry around in your explorations. You get an axe, hammer, wrench, and shovel together in one, which makes it convenient to take with you while traveling. The Omni Tool is further upgraded to make it strong enough to take down harder structures in the overworld. This guide will explain where to locate all Omni Tool upgrades in Grounded 2.

How to Get the Omni Tool in Grounded 2

The Omni Tool is obtained as part of the main story quest. Check the quest objective to head over to a Ranger Outpost. The quest marker will lead you to it, so make your way over and head inside the bunker. You will spot a shelf with several Omni Tools on the wall, pick one up to add it to your character.

At the start, the basic Axe tool is readily available for use at level 1. To use this, walk up to any stalk or item that needs chopping, and you will automatically get an icon to chop. You won’t find the Omni Tool in your inventory or weapon slot, but you get to automatically use it when required.

How to Upgrade the Omni Tool

Upgrading the Omni Tool is possible after you have come across other Ranger Stations. There are a handful of these stations found within Ranger Outposts around the overworld. The first one you find will be after you complete the tutorial and get your basic Omni Tool. Then, venture out towards the Ranger Outpost at Snackbar.

This door is locked for now, and you need to head deep into the cave beside it to reach the back of the bunker. Use your bionic arm to unlock the door when you find it to gain access to the Ranger Station. When you interact with it, you will get an option to upgrade your Omni Tool. Pick your tool and the upgrade tier, and the tool will be upgraded when you find the right materials.
