RuneScape Dragonwilds offers an immersive crafting and building experience, and it pays to scour locations and gather materials to craft exquisite items later on. Blightwood is one of the harder materials to find, but this guide will simplify where you can find this material and how to use it in RuneScape Dragonwilds.
How To Get Blightwood In RuneScape Dragonwilds

To find Blightwood, you need to venture out to Bloodblight Swamp, just southeast of Fractured Plains. To get into Bloodblight Swamp, once you reach the barricade, make your way east to find a wall that you can scale and jump down. The area has 4 Blightwoods, and if you are fast enough, you can quickly gather them and leave before you die of poison. Return whenever your health has regenerated, and you can find that the Blightwood has respawned in the same location, thus making it a great place to farm this item.
Before planning to enter the area, however, keep the following tips in mind:
- Get ready for poison swamp: Since the area has high levels of poison, I highly recommend that you either place a Lodestone right near the entrance of the swamp or carry a good amount of Anti-Poison Potion with you; this gets you poison resistance for 300 seconds. If you wish to craft the potion, you require Harralander,a Clay Vessel, and Bittercap Mushroom. Cook them together and consume the potion.

- Get ready for high-level enemies: If you haven’t upgraded your character enough, you should do that and also craft better equipment before setting foot here. You should upgrade your Stone Axe to a Bronze Axe or higher before you can start farming Blightwood.
- Place a lodestone right at the entrance. That way, you can keep coming back to the area to farm Blightwood.
How To Use Blightwood In RuneScape Dragonwilds
So far, the only known use for Blightwood is to craft the Iron Pickaxe. For this item, you also need to gather Iron Ore, which is another difficult material to find. It is best to work on leveling up your character and obtaining better mining materials before you make a move to collect Blightwood as well as Iron Ore. There could be other uses for Blightwood later in the game, so keep holding on to them as you might require them later.
