99 Nights in the Forest is all about surviving the nights, locating the missing children, and escaping the Deer. However, in a sudden turn of events, the Deer needs your help. In the game’s latest update, the Deer was attacked by a mysterious beast and desperately needs healing. To heal the Deer, you need medicines and food. This guide will help you heal the one that tormented you throughout your survival experience in 99 Nights in the Forest.
Steps to Heal the Deer in 99 Nights in the Forest
To heal the Deer in 99 Nights in the Forest, you need to follow the steps below:
- Locate the Deer around the campfire.
- Heal the Deer with Med kits and Bandages, then feed him Meat, Soup, or other cooked food.
- Defend him from the attackers that spawn during his recovery period.
- Follow the Deer to the cave of the mysterious beast to end the journey.
Make sure you’re stacked up on cooked food, Med kits, and Bandages as the Deer will need it. If you do not have any other cooked food with you, make sure you carry at least 15-20 stacks of Meat to help him regain his strength. Let’s take a look at how to heal the Deer completely in detail in 99 Nights in the Forest.
Locate the Deer Around the Campfire

The first thing you must do is locate the Deer around the campfire in 99 Nights in the Forest. Now, the Deer’s spawn is random, but it will most definitely spawn around the campfire. It might spawn to the left or right of the campfire, or to the front, near the Missing Children board. You can easily spot him lying down on a dark patch, with his antler broken and his leg twisted, caused by a mysterious creature.
Heal and Defend the Deer

The next thing you need to do is heal the Deer, and defend him from Wolves. To heal him, you must obtain Bandages and apply them to the broken antler and the twisted leg. They can be obtained via starting as the Medic Class, from Chests as a rare drop, or by spawning inside hospital locations. They are easy to find; all you have to do is look around the map for some. Med kits will also work in healing him.

Next, you need to feed him to strengthen him up. Feed Meat, Carrots, Soup, or other cooked food to help him regain his strength. After you’ve successfully healed the Deer, you need to defend him from attackers such as the Wolves. Since the Deer is now hurt, and is an easy prey, you’ll face bestial enemies trying to get ahold of him. You must successfully defend him to progress to the final part of healing the Deer in 99 Nights in the Forest.
Offer Purple Fur Tuft to the Deer

The final objective to heal the Deer is to offer Purple Fur Tuft to him. You’ll find the Purple Fur Tuft in the dark patch of land where the Deer has recovered. This will help him track down the mysterious creature that attacked him. Once recovered, the Deer will head to the cave of the mysterious attacker, and you must follow his trail. Now, all you have to do is reach his cave, sit back, and watch the cutscene that shows the fight between the Deer and the beast.
Once the cutscene ends, you can enter the cave and unlock the Chest inside to claim your rewards. In a fortunate turn of events, the Deer will defend your base and offer gratitude for saving his life. This will end the quest to save the Deer in 99 Nights in the Forest.
