The Breach Update has added plenty of changes to No Rest for the Wicked; one of the major highlights is the addition of a new region named Lowland Meadows. Here, some players are having a difficult time opening a locked door right at the beginning of the location. The door will ask for a Windmill Key to unlock. This guide will help you find out how to get the Windmill Key in No Rest for the Wicked.
How To Get The Windmill Key in No Rest for the Wicked

The Windmill Key can be found early on the same level, you must have to do a bit of walking around to obtain it. You will find the Windmill Key in the southwest of the map, behind a closed gate. To access the area, we must do some platforming and land on the side of the gate to get the key and open the door.
- Once you reach the Windmill section, head towards the closed gate in the opposite direction of the Windmill. Follow the path to the location, and you will come across a tower.
- Our next task is to climb the tower, walk over the broken wall, and land in the area of the gate.
- Bingo, here you will find the Windmill Key and a Lever to the gate.
While it all seems easy, many have complained of facing multiple issues with the Windmill section of the game, focusing on the climbing sections.
Bug Alert: Many have left a complaint about not being able to climb the Windmill upon death. Some went further by stating the area around the Windmill is also bugged. The bug triggers when you pull the second lever to rotate the Windmill’s blade. If you manage to die during the climb, then upon respawn, your character will phase through the platforms.
So far, no official statement has been released by the team addressing the glitches. If you are facing the issue, try reloading your save file, or the best course of action would be to wait for the official patch.
