Deadlock is a thrilling MOBA game that puts teams of heroes against each other in a battle for dominance. The objective is to destroy the enemy’s base while defending your own. One of the main aspects of Deadlock is the collection of souls, which provides power and resources to your team. In this guide, we’ll explore the various ways you can earn souls in Deadlock and gain an advantage over your opponents.
How To Get Souls
To earn souls in Deadlock, you need to focus on several areas of the map. By understanding the different methods of soul collection, you can develop a well-rounded strategy and lead your team to victory.
Minion Waves
In Deadlock, minion waves provide the base of soul gathering. A fresh wave of four troops will spawn and move down their respective lanes every 25 seconds. At the beginning of the game, each wave’s minion is worth 75 souls; however, this value grows over time. You must either last-hit the minions or gather the floating souls that emerge after they are destroyed to secure the souls.
Jungle Camps
There are several camps in Deadlock’s jungle, and they give a significant amount of souls. Jungle camps are divided into three levels, each of which is progressively more difficult but also more rewarding.
- Tier 1 camps spawn at the 2-minute mark and grant 45 souls per creep,
- Tier 2 camps spawn at 7 minutes and provide 95 souls per creep.
- Tier 3 camps are the most difficult, spawning at 7 minutes and granting 240 souls per creep.
Killing Hero Enemy
Killing enemy heroes is a surefire way to earn a large number of souls. At the start of the game, a hero kill grants around 150 souls, with the value increasing over time. Additionally, if the enemy you kill has a bounty, you’ll receive an even greater soul reward.
Lane Objectives
Each lane in Deadlock has three objectives that, when destroyed, provide souls to your team.
- The first objective, Tier 1 Guardians, grants 275 souls and an ability point when killed.
- The second objective, Tier 2 Walkers, provides 750 souls and an ability point.
- The third objective, Dual Guardians, does not offer any souls but must be defeated to progress further.
- Shrines, Once you push the lane to the enemy base, attacking the 2 shrines grants 500 souls each.
- Patron, destroying the patron will grant 500 souls.
Boxes And Statues
Destroying boxes and statues around the map also includes souls. But there are not a significant number of souls initially but the amount of souls you can gain from these boxes increases as the game progresses. Therefore, it’s beneficial to keep an eye out for them as the match continues.
Vending Machines
The Jungle Soul machines are spread across the map. By merely attacking them you can receive 20 souls while taking 50 damage each hit. After hitting the machine for five or ten normal hits they will break and release around 200 souls.
Delivering The Spirit Urns
Delivering urns significantly boosts your soul count. The first urn spawns at the 10-minute mark on either the far left or far right side of the map. Once collected, the urn must be delivered to a specific location, granting souls to your entire team with a 25% boost for the person who delivered it. A new urn spawns every 5 minutes until the end of the game.
Killing The Mid-Boss
The mid-boss, spawns at the 10-minute mark in the center of the map. Defeating the mid-boss grants 1,750 souls to the entire team that participated in the kill.
