Since the crafting catalog of Abiotic Factor is vast, you will require the right crafting materials for each one. Plutonic Blood is one of the more important materials to get, and it is extremely hard to come by. Luckily, there are three ways to get this exquisite resource, and this guide will cover all methods to get Plutonic Blood in Abiotic Factor.
All Ways to Get Plutonic Blood in Abiotic Factor
There are three main methods to collect Plutonic Blood in the game: Defeat Volatile Exors, Use the Exchanger Machine & explore Dusk Reactor. Let’s look at each of these one by one.
Defeating Volatile Exors

Volatile Exors are a type of enemy that mainly roam the Mist and Dusk reactors. Once they are dead, Plutonic Blood is a guaranteed drop. There is a catch though: these enemies tend to explode once their health gets too low. If this happens, you get nothing from their loot drop. To prevent this, either stun it, freeze it, or kill it mid-detonation.
Electric, shock, or freeze weapons are best used here, like the Electron Grenade or Slushie Bomb. High damage weapons like Rocket Launchers or Heavy Rifles also do the trick. This won’t give the Exors enough time to detonate, and is even strong enough to kill it mid-detonation. Shooting its legs also works to slow it down and then kill it quickly.
Explore Dusk Reactor
Looting the containers, desks, and any other breakable storage within the Dusk Reactor might help you out in collecting Plutonic Blood. This isn’t the best method of farming Plutonic Blood, as the chances of getting this resource this way are random and low.
Use the Exchanger Machine

While exploring the Dusk Reactor, keep an eye out for the Atomic Division Offices. Head inside this room via the vent overhead and drop down to locate the Exchanger Machine. Plutonic Blood can be traded for Plutonic Carapace if you have some in your inventory. To collect Plutonic Carapace, defeat all the enemies you come across while exploring the main Reactor area. Most, if not all, enemies will drop plenty of Plutonic Carapace, trade them all in for Plutonic Blood.
How to Use Plutonic Blood
Plutonic Blood has some late-game uses. The two main items that require Plutonic Blood as a crafting component are the Rocket Launcher Ammo and Transuranic Superalloy. This helps in crafting better ammo, gear, and armor to tackle all the late game enemies and bosses. Sometimes, while performing Experimental Research, you might require Plutonic Blood as one of the crafting materials.
