Navigating on the planet’s surface in No Man’s Sky can get tiring on foot. Having my very own Roamer to drive around the surface changed the gameplay drastically for me, but to build one you will need to get Paraffinium. Thankfully, Paraffinium in No Man’s Sky is found on planets that you probably already want to find and explore.

How to Find Paraffinium in No Man’s Sky
Planets with Lush biomes in No Man’s Sky have guaranteed Paraffinium ore on their surface that you can mine with your Terrain Manipulator. Alternatively, you can also extract it from Hotspots, like you extract Radon, on planets with Lush biomes, or buy it from Galactic Trade Terminals on Space Stations and other planetary structures in NMS.
Here is how you can find Paraffinium on planets in No Man’s Sky:
- Head out to space and find a planet with a lush biome (Paradise Planet, Verdant Planet, Grassy Planet, Tropical Planet, etc.) it should list Paraffinium as one of its elements when scanned from space.
- Land on the surface and use your Analysis Visor to look for blue element icons that say “Paraffinium Deposit” and head towards it.
- Use the Terrain Manipulator on your Multi-tool to mine the Paraffinium deposit until there is none left or until your requirements are met.
- If you need more, repeat the process by using your Analysis Visor to find other Paraffinium deposits.
