How to Get Goose Companion Where Winds Meet

Animal encounters are quite frequent in Where Winds Meet, and you will oftentimes find yourself chased by geese. You could tame them and keep them as a companion pet to help you in battles. Obtaining a goose pet will require some steps, so keep reading below to learn how to own a goose.

Head over to Moonveil Mountain waypoint in Qinghe. You will spot several geese here who would randomly attack you, or they might be docile and not attack you at all. To trigger the Demon Goose fight, just walk around till one of them starts randomly attacking you.

If that doesn’t work, find an injured goose and use Wind Sense to start the healing process. But don’t heal the goose. Rather, skip all the healing cards that appear throughout all 10 rounds of the healing mini-game. After you fail the healing mini-game, this will cause the goose to rampage and turn into the Demon Goose.

The easiest way to deal with this enemy is to have Tai Chi and the Meridian Touch skills unlocked and ready. First, leave the area and return a bit later. The Demon Goose will be a bit distracted and won’t attack you right away. Find a water body and stand close to it first. Next, grab its attention while standing your ground, then use Meridian Touch followed by Tai Chi when it gets close enough.

Grab the goose and toss it into the water, which will lower its health. The deeper the water you toss the goose into, the more damage it takes. Repeat this step a few times till it is dead. You get to unlock the Goose Slayer and Goose Buster achievements this way.

Killing the Demon Goose will automatically unlock the Goose companion to use during battles. To claim the Goose companion, click on your profile picture at the top of the screen and head into your Achievements panel. Select All Achievements and claim the reward from the Goose Buster, which is the goose.

To summon the goose in battle, before you head into the battle arena, look around for a white marker that will help you summon companions. Use this to summon the goose to fight alongside you anytime, and will be a permanent addition to your team. It will use burst DPS damage while in battle.

    Obtaining Goose Egg

Another way to get the goose companion outside of battle is to collect a goose egg. The goose egg comes in three varieties:

    • Sickly Goose Egg
    • Sturdy Goose Egg
    • Deranged Goose Egg

There are two ways to get goose eggs: either by healing (or failing to heal) it, or by freezing a nesting goose and collecting a random egg. If you are healing a goose, the egg type will depend on how successfully you have treated it.

You get to claim one egg per day through this, and interacting with the egg in your inventory will hatch it into a goose companion. While they won’t be used in battle, they will accompany you for 10 minutes, after which they will disappear.
