Unlocking Talon Strike in Where Winds Meet
Talon Strike is unlocked by completing a Skill Theft mini-game, which triggers after interacting with the bird’s nest in the Palace of Annals. You’ll find this area in the western part of Qinghe, as shown in the image above. The Palace of Annals lies beside Sage’s Knoll. Once you reach the exact location, you’ll find a bridge directly ahead of you, with some archers shooting arrows.
You must take down every archer from a distance or get close and fight them on the bridge. Be careful not to end up falling down, since it’s a chore getting back up. After you’ve defeated every archer successfully, you can cross the bridge and reach the other side of the area.
At the other side of the bridge, climb the first flight of stairs, then turn right to stand near the ledge. Look below to find the bird’s nest with a few eggs in it. Jump down from the ledge and interact with the eggs, which will give you the prompt to feed it.
Interacting with the bird’s nest will trigger a new Skill Theft mini-game, which requires you to press the button at the right time as soon as the bird dives. You may need to do this twice or thrice, and once you’ve completed the mini-game, you’ll unlock the Talon Strike Mystic Skill. There’s a certain time limit under which you must complete the mini-game, so try to finish it on your first try. It’s incredibly simple, and most players will get it on their first time.
Talon Strike Effects and Breakthrough Tier Bonuses
The Talon Strike Mystic Skill is recommended for Arena battles. Swift and devastating, like a falcon swooping down on its prey. First, swipe the target to break their defense, then follow up with 3 hits to deal damage. It is a single-target offensive Control Mystic Skill that is useful against bosses. Here are the Breakthrough Tier Bonuses that unlock after upgrading this Mystic Art:
