While you can grab 3 Grand Photos to proceed to the next stage in Deltarune Chapter 3, grabbing all four of them gives you access to S-Rank rewards. Once the screen flashes with its TV!! Time!!, your team will get teleported to the inside of a game, an area called Kodakoda Island. To continue with the mission, our job is to take a photo of three interesting subjects along with the fourth one for extra reward. Here is a guide to find all Grand Photos in Chapter 3.
Getting the Camera and Clue to Grab Four Grand Photos
Once you are on Kodakoda Island, the first area will serve as a spawn point. Remember this area well, as you will come back to it for multiple sections of the puzzle. In your spawn area, if you head to the cave on the left, you will find three empty pillars. Head north to find the camera. Now we are ready to do a photoshoot in the game.
Now that you possess a camera, head down to enter the room with three empty pillars. The second you enter, a hidden door to the left will be open and accessible. This room will have four different NPCs, each giving you clues on the location of the photos.
- Picture Location Clue #1: “The plant of spikes hides in the forest. It’s no rose, but its thorns hold love.“
- Picture Location Clue #2:“ A green geyser, just next door. Who can dig it up?“
- Picture Location Clue #3: “A flower torn in half! I wonder who took it… the photo, I mean.“
- Picture Location Clue #4: “The red antlion, under the ground. Fangs of youth unearthed with a photo.“
Note: You can take pictures of all the NPCs giving you the clues to gain points. Once you are in the camera mode, you will see a small window on the screen that you can move manually and take pictures, the pictures will appear in black and white colour.
Clue #1 Picture Location: Cactus
From the spawn spot, head left and make your way south until you see a golden statue on the left, on a different island. The right side of the area will be filled with palm trees, but you can easily spot a cactus hiding in plain sight amongst the trees. Use your camera to take a picture of the Cactus to grab the second Grand Picture.
Clue #2 Picture Location: Green Geyser Fountain
From the spawn spot, head left and start moving south, climb down the ladder, and now make your way right. Now, cross the bridge to get to the other side of the area. Keep moving right. Lancer will be for sale, but for 999 points, you can bring the price down to 9 by taking a picture of the Lancer and the price information in a single frame.
Make your way to the spawn area, here head through the hole on the right to get to the Green Geyser area. Here, the lancer will dig the hole for you to snap your first Grand photo.
Clue Picture# 3 Location: Half-Cut Yellow Flower
From the spawn area, turn right, take the raft to the other side, head down, and again take a different raft to the left side of the area.
- Puzzle #1: Now go down, you will encounter a simple puzzle, just toss the bridges at the corner of the area to the water. Here, you just have access to two bridges, so place them one after another to get to the other side.
- Puzzle #2: Now move right, and you will encounter a different puzzle. It can be pretty challenging, as it is a larger version of the last puzzle. If you look at the bottom of the area, the block near the water already has a bridge on it. Use that as a starting point, grab the three bridges in the area and toss all three of them after the starting point to cover the gap to get to the other side.
Now head down and turn right, defeat the enemies and make your way to the north. In the next area, to your right, you will see some blue flowers on the ground. Pick them up and head towards the location.
Soon you will arrive in an area filled with blue flowers at its corners and a half-cut yellow flower at the bottom. Equip your camera and take a picture of the flower.
Clue Picture #4 Location: Red Antlion
From the last half-cut yellow flower picture, head left and move to the north side. Now turn left, and solve the puzzle. It’s another bridge on the water puzzle to cross to the other side, it can be done pretty easily.
- This will lead you to a cave, get inside, and step on the pink button at the bottom-right corner of the room. Stepping on it will spawn eight white bombs. Just grab one of them and toss it in the middle of the room to blow them all up by creating a chain reaction.
- Once all the bombs blow up, a hidden passage to the south will open. Head inside this new area. You will be blocked from accessing the area. On the other side, you will notice four blue antlions moving on the ground.
- You will only see the blue antlions, but sometimes you will also spot the red ones moving in the same zone. Just prepare your camera and snap the picture. Have the camera already pointing at the ground, now it will wait, once the red antlion is visible, click to get the final grand photo.
Once you have gathered them all, head to the spawn area and place them in the pillars to unlock a room on the right. Head inside and ride the raft to get to the end.
