How To Start Treasure Hunter Quest In Black Myth Wukong
The Treasure Hunter Quest in Black Myth Wukong is started by talking to the Treasure Hunter after escaping the Pagoda Realm. To reach him, jump off the Turtle General after exiting Pagoda Realm and go towards the large temple on the beach where you will find a man screaming as he gets attacked by some Yaoguai.
Once you defeat the enemies attacking him, talk to him which will lead to an introduction dialogue but this won’t start the quest yet. To do so, you will need to continue playing the game until you reach the Towers of Karma Shrine.
Here, the Treasure Hunter will be sitting nearby on a rock but he will ask for warmth from the harsh cold winds of the Snowfields. Use the Ring of Fire spell here to provide the warmth, he will then tell you that he is in search of a melon field.
He will also give you a hint as to where you can find it by saying that he saw a boy holding a melon jump off a cliff. But this hint will leave you more confused, so let’s look at how you can find this Melon Field Shrine. Make sure you exhaust all of his dialogue here before continuing.
Melon Field Shrine Location in Black Myth Wukong
Here is how you can find the secret location of the Melon Field Shrine in Black Myth Wukong:
- Start your search at the Forest of Felicity Shrine.
- From here, head to the right and take the slope going downwards.
- Once you reach the bottom, look for a lake that has a wooden bridge going over it.
- As you enter this area, you will find three frozen enemies on the right side of this lake, go to them.
- You can jump down the ledge where the frozen enemies were and keep making your way down to reach an entrance to a cave.
- Just beside this cave entrance is where you will find the Melon Field Shrine in Black Myth: Wukong.
This shrine serves a good purpose, it’s a resting place for the boss fight you are about to face. After you head through the entrance the Treasure Hunter will reveal its true identity as the Green-Capped Martialist whose true intention was to test your wit and see if you are worthy enough for a battle against him.
Just like the Black Bear Guai, this boss uses fire attacks so I would advise using the Fireproof Mantle that you may have already obtained in preparation for the Black Bear Guai fight in Chapter 1. When you defeat Green-Capped Martialist in Black Myth: Wukong, the true owner of this hidden Melon Field will reveal himself and reward you with the Spell Binder spell. This spell prevents you from using Spells but boosts your attack moderately.
