As with many survival horror games, Directive 8020, the latest chapter of The Dark Pictures Anthology, features a variety of computer and safe codes that grant access to secrets, clues, and juicy tidbits of lore. These codes don’t unlock anything especially game-changing, nor do they alter the course of the story, but they do provide helpful context that may aid your decisions later in the game.
This can make a difference to who survives and who dies, and, as this is a game about discovering the truth behind every mystery, why wouldn’t you want to shine a light into every dark corner? Code solutions can usually be found near the terminal or locker they open. For example, you can find “Luna’s birthday” on a calendar nearby in their parent’s room.
However, if you want to move through the game at a brisk pace and don’t want to hunt down the clues and solutions to every code, we’ve compiled them here to make your life easier.
Locker Room Code
Locker Room Code: 13576

You’d be forgiven for missing the Locker Room Code on your first playthrough. It’s pretty well hidden, and you’ll need to open a vent with the utility strap, then open another door.
It’s worth doing for the other Secrets that exist in the room, but when it comes to opening the locker, it’s easier to just know the code.
Carter’s PC Code
Carter’s PC Code: 0828

This is an easy one, as the code is Luna, Carter’s daughter’s birthday and can be found on a wall calendar in the room to the left of the computer.
Food Storage Key Code
Food Storage Key Code: 0402

The Food Storage Key Code is one you’ll find when playing as Cooper and can only be found after you’ve obtained the wedge tool. The code is located on a post-it note on the door on the way out of the area, but for ease.
Diazepam Code
Diazepam Code: 168

The Diazepam Synthesis Code is hidden behind a relatively simple puzzle, and solving this will reveal the set of numbers you need. You can solve it by making the chemical solutions correspond to the numbers on the shelf to the right. Each one represents the numbers 1, 6, and 8. Then, with this information in hand, return to the code reader and input those numbers.
Anomaly Log Code
Anomaly Log Code: 3196

This is another solution that’s written on a post-it note near the cockpit that you’ll find when playing as Cernan. This time, the solution is made up of letters that correspond to numbers. They read CAIF, and the numbers they translate to are 3196.
So that’s every code solution in Directive 8020. Stay safe out there, fellow explorers, and we hope you manage to keep your team alive – unless you’re going for a very different ending.
