No Man’s Sky Intercepter update brought with it tons of new stuff including the new dissonant corrupted planets. These planets are infected with corrupted sentinels that are more aggressive and powerful than the normal ones. Not only that but it also offers some unique loot and POIs along with the chance to find Sentinel Ships that you can make your own.

If you want all those goodies for yourself, here is everything you need to know on how to easily find corrupted planets in the endless galaxies of No Man’s Sky.

Here is a step-by-step guide on how to find Dissonant Corrupted Planets in No Man’s Sky:

    1. Head out to space and open your Galaxy Map.
    2. Look around for systems that have the “Dissonant” tag where you also get the “Water” tag for systems with water planets.
    3. Once you find a system like that, wrap to it since it means you are guaranteed to find at least one Corrupted Planet in that system.

    4. Once you are in the system, scan planets until you find a planet that says “Dissonance detected”, this is a Corrupted Planet.

Corrupted Planets are dangerous so make sure you are prepared to have some on-foot combat before you land. I would advise having a Minotaur with AI control so that it can engage in combat alongside you and allow you to get in it when things get too chaotic to handle.

You should always try and find systems with as many planets as possible since it gives you more chance of having multiple corrupted planets in the same system. Corrupted Planets are already hostile places and it can be even more tough if the planet has very hostile conditions as well. Try and find a decent lush planet for your next corrupted planet exploration in No Man’s Sky.
