Like most games, in Star Wars Outlaws, you need to earn money (or Credits, in this case) to unlock upgrades for your character, vehicles, and gear. There are several ways to get Credits in the game, but they can be a bit time-consuming. In this guide, we have detailed how to quickly and efficiently farm credit in Star Wars Outlaws. Some methods might seem more lucrative than others, but you can always try any method you feel comfortable with and farm credits via that.
Best Credit Farming Methods In Star Wars Outlaws
Some methods listed below might be a bit risky but will help you earn Credits faster. You can mix and match which methods work best for you and use those to quickly rake up some money.
Participate In Wandering Sylop
You can play the Wandering Sylop mini-game by locating the machine across various cities. If you win the mini-game, you can claim around 333 credits per win. Even if you lose, you can retry and try to win again. Each try will cost 10 credits, but that is worth risking to gain 333 credits.
To play the mini-game, all you have to do is play four short rounds. Each time you participate and complete a round, it gets more difficult in the next round. For the game, you need to follow Sylop cards in order and pick them correctly. Detailed below is how each round gets played
- Round 1: Three cards will appear and they will shuffle slowly within three allocated spaces.
- Round 2: Again, three cards will start the shuffling process across the whole board this time, which takes up nine spaces
- Round 3: This time you have four cards, and the speed increases moderately across the board
- Round 4: The four cards will increase speed, and all of them will move across the board at the same time
If you lose the game, you have to wait for the cooldown period of the machine to end before you can try again. So come back at a later time to know if the cooldown is over, and till then you can find other Sylop machines to keep playing
Participate In Smart Fathier Race
You can earn credits here if you know how to cheat. You have to visit Canto Bight to learn more about the Fathier Race and participate in it.
Pro-Tip: Get on a good reputation with a faction, visit their Syndicate Vault to spot a data pad about rigged races, and bet on the winner!
These vaults are found deep within any syndicate lair, and if you have a good reputation with any of them, you won’t face any issues trying to get to the vault. You will get a Rigged notification when placing the bet in such cases – meaning this is a safe one to bet on, so go ahead and put the maximum amount here – your win is assured.
However, if you don’t have any source like this, then it is best not to take the risk on this particular race and try again later.
Scavenging Bases And Outposts
During your exploration, you will always come across Imperial bases across the various planets. These bases and outposts do host valuable items you can loot and sell later. You can reach most of these areas via quests. So after you have picked up a certain quest that requires exploration, make sure to loot whatever you come across. Slicing the Imperial Terminal within these outposts can give you 200 credits per successful slicing.
Picking Up Contracts
Picking up Smuggler Contracts from the various syndicates is always a surefire way to earn credits fast. Syndicate contracts are only available after you have completed the first quest in Kijimi and the False Flag quest. You can check the map for handshake icons to find Contract Brokers to pick up smuggler quests. Once you can pick up smuggler contracts, all you have to do is carry the loot from the marked location and take it to the destination.
You won’t receive any help such as fast travel, so you need to learn how to safely procure the goods out of there. You will be rewarded greatly for your trouble, which can easily amount to 500 credits if done correctly.
Pro-Tip: Threaten the client and ask for double the offer price! This, surprisingly works in almost all cases. Sometimes you may be offered upgrade parts instead of credits, which can be sold for a higher price if you are interested. Otherwise, visit other brokers who specifically deal with credits only.
You have to build up a reputation with the various syndicates if you wish to work with their brokers. If you don’t have a good standing with a particular syndicate, then the option to pick up contracts will be closed off. The better your reputation, the better your job offers will get and the more credits you can earn.
Slicing Terminals
Playing the slicing mini-game will allow you to claim a bonus. If you successfully slice a terminal, you can claim 100 bonus credits. There is a Slicer Expert you can visit to unlock the Slice Kit ability, which enables two extra tries plus the ability to use Jokers
Stealing and Selling Stolen Items
You can train Nix to pickpocket unsuspecting officers by using the Steal command. Sometimes you can get an item of high value that you can sell for cash. Also, during your exploration, it is best to keep scanning your environment to locate any loot crates or areas of interest. Once you have looted a location, the items won’t respawn, so just clear out any area you are in and collect everything that can be sold.
Once you have enough items that can fetch you some quick cash, make your way to merchants and sell everything. Some specific merchants will require specific items, so if you have what they want then they will give you bonus credits. Or else you can just sell to any merchant that you find.
Loot Syndicate Vaults
If you prefer to put your life on the line for a large sum of money, then raiding syndicate vaults is the way to go. Each syndicate has a secured vault deep within their premises in Mirogana. But you require three keycards to unlock one vault. To locate the keycards, you need to head into different territories and try to loot them. If you have a higher reputation with each of the syndicates, then the process of locating the keycards becomes easier, as well as accessing the vaults
Make your way to the vaults and hack into the terminals next to them. You will get the details of where the keycards are located. After accessing the keycards, head back to the vault to loot them. You can easily earn 5000 Credits this way, as well as acquiring paint schemes for your Speeder
Play Sabbac
Sabbac is one of those features that can be easily ignored, but you can get a decent sum if you wish to play. Once you reach Mirogana, you can find this mini-game. For 50 Credits, you can play and win at least 150 credits back. While this may not seem like a lot, it can help you out during early gameplay. The better you get at the game, the chances of being invited to the higher tables will increase. This will effectively increase the loot pool and help you earn a large amount of credits.
Play The Game
Playing Star Wars Outlaws in itself will reward you with credits. As you keep picking up quests and contracts, you can earn a sizable amount of credits. Certain quests like The Wreck have an option to earn 1000 credits by hacking into a terminal here. To do that, first, ensure that you have the slicing minigame deactivated from your game settings. Then head over to the second floor by taking the elevator. You will spot the terminal nearby, just hack it to get 100 credits.
After that, try to get eliminated by drawing attention to yourself and get yourself killed by nearby enemies. You should ensure that you have picked up a Quest Item somewhere previously to create a checkpoint. You will then be respawned into the quest again at the checkpoint you had created earlier, just head back to the second-floor terminal and hack it. Repeat these steps several times to gain as much credit as possible.
