How To Catch All 8 Crayfish in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

During the Our Old Bread quest in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, you are presented with an optional side quest to catch eight crayfish. While doing this optional objective, you also get a chance for a trophy unlock. Here’s how to go about locating all 8 crayfish in KCD 2, and getting the Ostraconophobia achievement.

A super useful tip while trying to locate the Crayfish is turning on the photo mode. This allows you to zoom in and look underneath crevices or objects like rocks with a much better visibility.

Head over to the lakes as shown in the image above. You’ll find the first crayfish on the staircase leading into the lake.

Head over to the second lake as shown in the image above. The crayfish will be hidden under a broken tree branch in the center of this lake. If you are struggling to spot the crayfish, try opening photo mode for a clearer view underwater.

Move to the southern edge of the second lake to catch the crayfish hidden under rocks and debris.

Move to the northmost part of the lake, as shown in the image. The crayfish will be at the edge of the lake.

Head over to the third lake and move towards the north-eastern edge, like in the image. The crayfish will be under a big rock.

Next, move to the south-eastern edge of the same lake, and the crayfish will be directly underwater, thankfully without being hidden under any object.

Go to the southmost part of the lake, and the crayfish will be next to a dead silver fish at that location.

Go to the westmost part of the lake, as shown in the image. The crayfish will be under a rock propped up by a stick. It will be easy to spot as the stick is visible above the water.

By collecting these eight crayfish, you’ll complete the optional part of the Our Old Bread quest. While there are four more to catch in the pond on the other side of the monastery, you just need eight to complete the sidequest.

Also, if you want to accomplish the Ostraconophobia achievement, try to get your health bar to the very minimum. Next, try catching the crayfish. Some will bite you when you catch them. If your health bar reaches zero from the bite of a crayfish, you’ll unlock this achievement.

Do note that the damage crayfish inflict is very minimal, so keep your health bar near zero while catching to get this achievement. Once completed, you’ll get the message on your screen, “You’ve joined a very exclusive group of people who were killed by a crayfish pinch. Well done.”
