Road to Glory mode is exactly how it sounds. Players start their career from high school with the preferred difficulty and work their way up the ranks. It takes choosing the correct playstyle, making smart decisions, and playing well to be the best of the best. In this guide, we’ll show you how to become a 5-star recruit in the Road to Glory mode and start your football career with a bang.
Choosing The Correct Path and Position

There are 4 paths you can choose from in the beginning
- Elite – 5 Star
- Blue Chip – 4 Star
- Contributor – 3 Star
- Underdog – 2 Star
The higher your stars, the easier it will be to get noticed early on. Whereas, if you’re looking to push the limits, you can go either Underdog or Contributor. Don’t worry, as what you choose right now is not the final rating. The final rating depends on how you perform and various other factors that happen throughout the season.

The next step is choosing your position. There are 5 positions to choose from
- Quarterback
- Halfback
- Wide Receiver
- MIKE Linebacker
- Cornerback
This is a personal preference; choose whichever position you think suits your playstyle. Or choose one that your favorite player plays, your choice. Each of these positions is further diluted into different archetypes. For example, if your player is a quarterback, some archetypes would be Pocket Passer, Dual Threat, etc. These archetypes come with different abilities, like better ball handling, increased ball security, a boost for trick plays, etc.

Performance In Your High School Season
Once the season kicks off, your goal is to perform, as obvious as it sounds. One way to figure out where your ratings stand is by checking the player’s ranking across the nation, state and overall position of the player. After you’ve finished customizing the first section of Road to Glory, the players will receive the weekly rankings.

Your player will also be interviewed by a reporter, and its worth noting that the answers you give also help in the recruitment process. The questions will be along the lines of what’s important in a school and what players are looking for in a school.
Selecting Your Schools

When it comes to selecting which school you’ll add to your top 10 list, there are different stats to look for in each school.
- Assessed Tape Score: The max points you have hit during your high school games before getting the attention and scholarship of that particular school
- Projected Role: Starter, backup, based on the position in the chart
- Coach Prestige: Ranked from A+ to F
- NIL Potential: NIL Packages ranked low to high
- Also shows how much a team focuses on their passes or runs as well as aggressiveness.
The players can also track the progress of each school. Based on their performance, you can assume how easy it will be for you to get a spot as a starter. The coaches will also message you based on how well you’re performing, whether the scouts will be present at the game or if you lost your chance with that particular school.

Playing The Games

When it comes to actually being on the field, you can select up to 4 “moments” before the game starts that you want to complete during the actual match. Each of these moments will have 2 goals that will affect your Tape Score. To maintain a high star, it’s crucial that you complete the moments at 100%. Certain moments will include a “School Tape Score Boost”, which depends on the school.
Getting a 5-star is not just about your performance in the field; your choices off-field matter as well. The scouts will judge you based on the small decisions that come up for your player. So play smart and make wise decisions to ensure you get a 5-star.

At the end of the season, the time comes to choose one of the 3 available choices for your school. There will be 3 hats to pick from, and you can make your character fake out people with an option. But you will have to eventually choose a school from one of the 3 options.
