Each class in Elden Ring Nightreign has their own unique storyline to follow, and you can complete their quest objectives to learn more about the lore surrounding them. There are tons of challenging side bosses to conquer for each class, and with the Guardian, you need to defeat the Golem. This guide will give you the rundown on how you can go about defeating the Golem in Nightreign.
Elden Ring Nightreign – Golem Boss Fight Guide

You get the objective to defeat the Golem once you reach Chapter 4. Speak to the caretaker at the Roundtable Hold to get the objective, after which you need to activate the Remembrance in the journal to start the quest. Start an expedition to be transported to the Realm of Remembrance in Limveld, and you can open your map to get the pointer for the Golem. The spawn point is random for each map, so keep an eye out for a bright orange marker that will lead you to the boss.
When you first encounter the boss, it will be fast asleep. Examine the body to wake it up and follow the steps below to defeat it.
- The Golem deals damage using its greathammer, and is exclusively a melee boss.
- The boss’s weak points are highlighted by the flow of lava that is clearly visible on certain sections of its body.
- Try to aim and hit those spots for higher damage output. Melee players can aim for the ankles, while ranged players can go for the torso.
- The further away from the boss you get, the easier it gets for the Golem to hit you.
- Ranged classes can try and get on top of the ruins to aim and shoot for the weak points, but also prepare to dodge if you notice the Golem swing their weapon in your direction.
- The Golem will also smash the ground around them multiple times, so melee players should run away from the area of impact till the boss is done.
- Get behind the ankles rather than in front of it, so you can avoid the Golem boss stepping on you.
- Also be aware of random enemies that will spawn around the arena and take them out before things get out of hand.
The Golem boss is not as difficult as it seems, you just need to be persistent in hitting the boss and keeping an eye on your health bar. Eventually, the boss will be down, and you can complete the objective as well as collect the Stone Stake item. Take the quest item back to the caretaker to update your journal entry and turn the Stone Stake into a relic for the Guardian.
