Each quest in The Elder Scrolls IV Oblivion Remastered will ask you to perform a task that might seem a bit difficult to comprehend. During The Path of Dawn main story quest, you need to find a way to activate the Tomb of Prince Camarril to uncover its secret. Luckily, the game does provide some hints on what you need to do, and this guide will cover how to activate the tomb in Oblivion Remastered.
Oblivion Remastered: Activate the Tomb of Prince Camarril
The key to activating the tomb of Prince Camarril is to wait till midday, and then head to the Green Emperor Way in the Imperial City. This step is the final step of the Path of Dawn main story quest. You need to collect all Mythic Dawn Commentaries prior to this first, and there are four volumes to find. Once you get all books, read them to find out clues to locate the Mythic Dawn sanctuary. If you can’t figure out the clues, you can speak to Tar-Meena at the Arcane University. She won’t have an answer right away, so come back after a day and speak to her.
She will mention that while reading the books, pay attention to the first letters of each paragraph. You can browse through the books in your inventory and have a look at the highlighted letters. The text should read as follows: Green Emperor Way Where Tower Touches Midday Sun. Head over to Green Emperor Way in the Imperial City and wait for Midday, which is around 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM. Take a look around to find a White Gold Tower and look up at the pointed end of the tower that reaches the sky.
Make sure that the sun is being blocked by the Tower, then look around the ground to find out where the Tower’s shadow has fallen. You will find the Tomb of Prince Camarril in the shade, and you can then activate it to start the Dragon Shrine quest. You can also directly follow the quest marker to find the Tomb without Tar-Meena’s help, by heading towards the Talos Plaza District. Explore the area to the south of the gate leading up to the district, then stand in front of the tomb at the allotted time to find the inscription and activate the tomb.
