There are a plethora of locations to explore in Hollow Knight: Silksong, and Verdania is one of the few secret areas of the game that can only be found in Act 3. Most players are unaware of a whole new Act for the game, apart from the first two Acts. Completing the Silk and Song Quest unlocks Act 3, and only then can you visit Verdania, although there are a few steps before it. This guide will help you reach Verdania with minimal effort.
How to Get to Verdania In Silksong
You can only get to Verdania in Act 3 by freeing the Green Prince first, then playing the Song of Memoria in front of him at Greymoor in Hollow Knight: Silksong. Start from the location in Greymoor as shown in the map above. There will be a Bench at that exact location, just beside Craw Lake on your map.
From the Bench area, exit to the next one by heading right. Continue heading right until you find the entrance to the next location, on the wall.
In the next area, you’ll encounter a Cage icon after you progress right. From there, drop down to the platform to your bottom right.
From there, drop down below, and keep progressing forward to the right to find another entrance to the next area. This will be the area next to Craw Lake.
Once you enter the new area, continue further through the water and use your Pogo Jump to climb onto the platform located at the top right. Go straight ahead using your Pogo Jump, and you’ll find yet another entrance to the next area on the right.
Enter the new area and keep moving right. Avoid the spikes that lie below. Use your traversal abilities to get across the platforms.
Continue on the path forward, and you’ll eventually meet the Green Prince standing there alone at a memorial. Interact with him, and he’ll reveal more lore about the area and Pharloom itself, and he will ask you to leave him in his sadness. When you’re done, play the Song of Memoria in front of him to trigger a secret cutscene.
If you’ve done it successfully, you’ll find Hornet lying down in the next cutscene. After she wakes up, check your map and you’ll see that you’ve reached Verdania. Head right to meet the Green Prince again, and he’ll comment about the location.
Completing the Green Prince Quest
Since you’re already in Verdania, you can now complete Green Prince’s entire storyline. There are only a few steps involved. First, you need to pass all the Trials present in Verdania.
Once you’ve completed them, head to the location appearing on the map above. It’s a bit confusing since Verdania is a secret location, but climb upwards from the Bench in the area.
From there, head right and use the obstacles to climb up, then dash left. Keep climbing up until you reach the entrance to the next area, located above at the centre of the location.
Once you’ve entered, keep heading right until you notice an opening that leads both to the bottom and above. Use your Cling Grip to climb up the opening, then head left.
Continue left to reach the Green Prince’s home, where he’s looking at a throne. Interact with him to begin the Clover Dancers boss fight. Once you’ve defeated the boss, you’ll obtain the Conjoined Heart and unlock the Lamenter Achievement/Trophy, which will conclude the Green Prince’s Questline.
