High On Life 2 – How To Complete MurderCon

In your journey to assassinate Senator Muppy Doo, you’ll come across the MurderCon. This is a particularly nasty event where you’ll be pitted against multiple contestants in a closed fight to the death in High On Life 2.

Reaching (and clearing) MurderCon isn’t particularly difficult, but a tad bit convoluted. If you’re looking for a way to clear the stage, you’ve come to the right place.

    Target Practice

Pick up from where you left off in PoliCon, and walk through the now unlocked door into an elevator. Interact with it to reach the top floor, where you’ll find Senator Muppy Doo. He’ll quickly flee, and leave his bodyguards to deal with you, forcing you on the offensive.

This is a good time to test out your new ally and weapon, Sheath. Sheath is a rapid firing assault rifle-like Gatlan, and can dish out a lot of damage. You can also make use of Sheath’s Impaling Spike (Q) to chain and impale targets together.

Shoot the spike’s circular end once you’re done to deal some additional damage. Make sure to bring Knifey along for some fun melee damage too!

Once all enemies have been dealt with, head on toward MurderCon.

    Reaching MurderCon

To actually reach MurderCon, you’ll have to complete a very simple puzzle first. Walk over to the edge of the waypoint (you can always check this by tapping Tab to bring out a path highlighter) and look up above.

You should see a generator and two junctions suspended mid air. You’ll have to use Sheath’s Q ability to create a dynamic zipline between the points. Once it’s prepped, ride it and head through the entrance booth to MurderCon.

Sign the waiver (anything will do) and enjoy your visit to MurderCon as its last participant!

    Battling In The Arena

MurderCon is a fast paced frenzied battle bloodbath, where you’ll be executing other participants to win heaps of points. Go for quick, efficient kills and avoid getting hit along the way.

For best results, switch to your skateboard to run and gun enemies along the way. The important thing to note about MurderCon is that there are a lot more enemies than usual, so you’ll want to watch your health. Pick up Shields (yellow canisters) from fallen foes along the way, and don’t stop moving.

The melee round offers a 2x bonus

There’s going to be a melee bonus midway, and you’ll want to stab enemies with (a rather excited) Knifey to rack up 2x more points than usual. This is also the point where Brutus will show up.

Before you begin focusing on Brutus, start exploring more of the arena. There’s a green chest at one of the top sections. Hit it with Knifey to get some extra Credits.

    How To Deal With Brutus

Brutus is a big, lumbering giant made from mechanical and organic parts. He’s as dumb as he looks, but has the grunt to make up for it. Do not get in his way, or you’ll take a ton of damage when hit, unless you like to play it a bit risky.

In that case, flank him and dodge (LCtrl)  whenever he charges up a move. You’ll want to make ample use of the Time Bubble to slow him down, and skate around him while you hit him with all your firepower. Even if it breaks your heart, avoid using Knifey for now.

Don’t worry though, Knifey gets his fair share of screentime later on, and remains the only way to parry some of Brutus’s attacks.

Whatever you do, make sure to target his helmet first. Removing it lets you deal way more damage, since his head will be exposed.

You’ll still be targeted by other participants during the entire fight though, so make sure to deal with them too. These regular enemies die off pretty quickly, and leave behind yellow canisters that refill your shield gauge. You’ll need every bit of help you can get here, since Brutus has a ton of HP.

Once Brutus is downed, you can proceed to navigate through PoolCon and RailCon to finally reach HumanCon, where the final showdown against Senator Muppy Doo will take place.
