Dragon Age is known for its decisions, companion decisions can be difficult to make, and a wrong choice can lead the companion to have different abilities and behave like a completely new person on the battlefield and in dialogue exchange. In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, during the last personal quest for Harding, we have to make a decision to either let Harding Accept her Titan’s Anger or let it all go, to choose compassion over anger. Both sides have their own set of rewards, so here is a complete guide to the decision.

Harding’s Choice: Accept Titan’s Anger Or Remember Who She Is

The choice of choosing either the Titan’s Anger path or the Compassionate path for Harding does not lead to any change in the main story, nor does it impact romance possibilities with Harding. The decision, however, has consequences in terms of what kind of armor and skill Harding gets in the end. This choice gets presented to you at the end of the “Heart of the Titan” Companion mission for Harding.

Choice 1: Harding Honors The Titan’s Anger

Here we are making Harding choose anger over peacefulness.

“You convinced Harding to honor and embrace the Titan’s Anger“

    The Stone’s Vengeance (Veilguard Skill):

    • Harding Weapon attacks sometimes get replaced with Titan Stones.
    • Any attack from Titan Stones will now deal 20% extra damage and will inflict Bleeding status on enemies.

    Titan’s Vengeance (Legendary Armor)

    • Detonation will also inflict Bleeding status.
    • Detonation will do 25% more physical damage against enemies with bleeding status.

The DPS set is too good to miss out on, when Harding accepts her Titan Anger she will obtain the sets mentioned above. The Bleeding Damage and the Titan Damage is a combat that will cause a devasting amount of damage on the battlefield.

Choice 2: Harding Remembers Who She Is

Here we are letting go of anger so Harding can remember who she is in life.

“You convinced Harding that the Titan’s rage cannot overcome her true heart“

Heart of the Titan (Veilguard Skill):

    • 15% cooldown reduction to Soothing Potion.
    • 25 % increase to Harding Detonation damage The companions will also gain a 20% bonus in damage and 15% in Cooldown Reduction.

    Inquisition Spotter (Legendary Armor)

    • Detonations will disrupt affected enemies.
    • Disruption applies to any nearby enemies.

While the first focused on the Harding DPS, the second option is all about leveling her supportive abilities. If Harding remembers who she is, then she will gain cooldown reduction and detonation damage effects.

Embrace Titan’s Anger Or Remember Who She Is: Which One To Choose?

We will recommend going down the anger route as it offers us better rewards.

I guess story-wise, and to close Harding’s character arc, making her remember who she is would be the better option, but we went and would recommend the devastating skill and armor set that comes with Harding embracing the Titan’s Anger. While the detonation effects of Inquisition Spotter and Heart of the Titan, have their fair share of fun in the game, the brutal combo of Titan Damage and Bleeding Status will help you immensely on the battlefield.

Each of the companions has a similar choice to make at the end of their questlines. Do check out our guides on Bellara, Taash, and Neve.
