Many areas in God of War Ragnarok need Kratos to be better equipped with new weapons and skills to progress. Putting high-end rewards and treasures behind the secret wall that requires players to obtain certain skills is what makes the game interesting to explore, and revisiting areas every time you unlock a new skill rewards you with loot and treasure. Red Heavy Vines in Vanaheim is one of the hurdles that hides secrets behind it. This guide will help you destroy the Red Colored Heavy Vines.
Guide To Destroy Red-Colored Heavy Vines
The first glimpse of Red Colored Vines, you will come across will be during The Reckoning main quest. You can try your luck by throwing the Leviathan Axe or swinging the Blade of Chaos to damage the vines, but nothing will happen. The vines are immune to all the Kratos’ weapons but there is a way to destroy the vine infestation out of treasure boxes or on the walls.
Required Skill – Sigil Arrows
The only way to destroy the Red Colored Vines is by using Sigil arrows and then using the Blade of Chaos to set fire to them. Then the question becomes how do you get these Sigil Arrows? You must progress further in the Reckoning questline until you defeat the Nidhogg boss. After defeating the boss, A companion will tag along with Kratos’s adventure and set the Sigil Arrows active by changing the arrow types.
- Once you have equipped the Sigil Arrows, command your companion to shoot the arrow at the Red Colored Vines.
- The arrows will create a giant purple orb around them when they hit the target,
- Ignite your Blade of Chaos and hit the purple orb to destroy the vines inside.
That’s it, now you can destroy any Red Vines in the game to unearth more secrets in the world of God of War Ragnarok.
Note: You need to be as close to the purple orb as possible. Blade of Chaos can only reach a certain distance before coming back without hitting anything. When you are planning to set the vines on fire, you need to get close to the purple orb, once you are at a close distance, let out the chains to do their magic.
