Blue Protocol: Star Resonance isn’t immune to bugs and issues, and you will definitely run into a few of them during your run in the game. The most frequent issue that players face is the Failed to Retrieve Server List error. This error usually happens before you log in to the game, and it gets impossible to start the game too. This guide will detail if there is any way to fix this error in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance.
How to Fix Failed to Retrieve Server List in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance
The error occurs if you live in a region that isn’t supported by the game, and also if servers are packed. Unfortunately, there aren’t many fixes for this, but there are two things you could try.
- Use VPN: This seems to work for most players. Just set your server to a different country, preferably the US, China, or EU. This could affect ping, so use it only if absolutely necessary.
- Wait it out: If you think that the servers are affected due to the large influx of players trying to load in, then wait it out and try again later.
This issue is recurrent, so you will face it at some point of trying to play the game. Also, some regions are banned from playing Blue Protocol: Star Resonance. If you think your country falls under the list of banned regions, then the chances of playing the game are nil. You could try using a VPN to counter it, or contact the game’s customer support team to see if there’s another way out.

Other Tips and Possible Fixes
Since Blue Protocol: Star Resonance just has one global server instead of separate regional servers, you will find yourself locked out of the game far more often. Till the game devs try and get things working again, you could try some of the following tips.
- Check Network Connectivity: A faulty network could also hamper gameplay. You could change to a different network or use Ethernet to see if it works.
- Reboot your system: Restarting your system or uninstalling and reinstalling the game could also work.
- Update graphics card: Check if your graphic drivers are up to date to support the game.
- Check system requirements: If your system does not meet the requirements to run the game, then you will face issues.
- Whitelist the game: If your antivirus or firewall has the game blocked, then check them and whitelist the game.
- Verify game files: On Steam, right click the game in the Library and go to Properties > Verify Files to repair any broken or missing files.
