Blue Protocol: Star Resonance’s map is quite complex, so learning navigational movements like dashing and floating is a requirement. These skills aren’t unlocked from the start, and you need to go through some trials and tribulations to unlock them. This guide will detail how to unlock Float and Phantom Dash in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance.
How to Get Float in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance

To get the Float skill, you need to find and interact with the Hero’s Herb at Asteria Plains. First, locate Airona at Port Town, Asterleeds. While speaking to her, select the New Talents, New Trials dialog option. Next, open up the map and find a marked location for the Terra Resonance quest at Asteria Plains.
When you select it, you get an option to find Hero’s Herb here. The nearest waypoint to get here is Cliff Ruins. From the waypoint, head west towards the Ancient City of Vil. Keep going west to find a giant blue flower. Interact with the Hero Herb to get the Float skill. Do note, though, that the Float skill can only be unlocked once you reach level 17.
How to Get Phantom Dash in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance

The Phantom Dash skill location is Asteria Plains, just north of where you picked up Float. You will come across Andra Resting Spot as you travel north of the Ancient City of Vil. Activate the wind tunnel nearby, then jump on it to start floating up. Use the circular wind tunnels to float up even higher till you reach the top of a cliff nearby. At the top of this cliff is a Wind Resonance. Interact with it to unlock Phantom Dash.
How to Use Float and Phantom Dash

To equip both these skills, pull up the sidebar and select the Skill option. Select the bottommost orb on the left, then drag and drop the Float and Phantom Dash skills to your hotbar. Once you exit the menu, check the bottom right corner of the screen to find the respective keys to press for each skill.
To use Float, find a wind tunnel and jump on it, then press the assigned button for Float while you are up to start gliding. For Phantom Dash, press the assigned button while on the ground to dash forward and break barriers.
Float and Phantom Dash are great for exploration. Using the Float ability can get you access to previously inaccessible and hidden areas, while Phantom Dash is great for creating space against enemies. These skills are especially suited for Marksman builds.
