What Is Heirloom Gear
Heirloom Gear is a special type of gear – it can be armour, weapons and accessories; that can only be unlocked and crafted at the Blacksmith in Dungeonborne. While you get a lot of loot during your runs in the game, Heirloom Gear cannot be obtained through loot, nor can it be purchased from any merchant. Also, you can equip only one Heirloom Gear on your character. However, the Heirloom Gear, once unlocked, is an account-wide unlock, meaning it can be used by all characters that you have created. Out of the several benefits and perks that a Heiroom Gear has, one key benefit is a % EXP gain which increases on further upgrades – this is a big help in leveling up your character that much quicker.
How To Unlock Heirloom Gear In Dungeonborne
Heirloom Gear In Dungeonborne is unlocked by going to the Heirloom tab at the Blacksmith, selecting the specific Heirloom Gear that you want to unlock, and ensuring that you have enough required raw materials to unlock.
For each Heirloom Gear, you will have an option of choosing either a higher quantity of Rough White Iron, or a smaller quantity of Ilmenite Ore to unlock. These raw materials can either be purchased from the Merchant – which is expensive; or can be obtained by dismantling armour and weapon that you have collected during your runs.
In order to dismantle items, go to the Heirloom tab at the Blacksmith, select the gear and click Dismantle. Depending upon the rarity of the item being dismantled, you will get the following resources:
- White Gear : gives Rough White Iron
- Green Gear : gives Ilmenite Ore
- Blue Gear : gives Refined Steel Ore
- Purple Gear : gives Star Fragment
Depending upon the type of the Heirloom Gear you are looking to unlock, you will need to be ready with the following quantity of resources (remember, it is either of the two):
Gear | Rough White Iron | Ilmenite Ore |
One handed Weapons and Shields | 200 | 50 |
Two handed Weapons | 300 | 75 |
Armour | 300 | 75 |
Accessories | 200 | 50 |
Once the Heirloom Gear of your choice is unlocked, you then need to craft it.
