Farming for resources in V Rising is one of the ways you can start crafting new equipment and unlock new crafting materials. There are tons of important resources to collect further into the game you go. As you reach the later stages of the game, you might need to farm Gem Dust. This resource is the rarest to find, and as such you will require plenty of it to craft certain accessories and structures.

There are a few ways to farm Gem Dust, such as by locating GemStones or repurposing Jewels. You might also get lucky and find Gem Dust while fishing. But these methods are not the only ways to get Gem Dust, and in this guide we will see all the ways to get Gem Dust and its uses in V Rising

Gem Dust Farming Locations In V Rising

As mentioned above, you can get Gem Dust by locating Gem Veins in the overworld. There are a few places where you can check out for Gem Veins or Gem Stones. You should note that Gem Stones come in three different types; you got the Crude Gem Vein, Regular Gem Vein, and Flawless Gem Vein. Each Gem Vein type drops a different amount of Gem Dust. You can collect 2 Gem Dust from the Crude Gem Vein, while the Regular Gem Vein drops 8 Gem Dust. Flawless Gem Veins drop 12 Gem Dust.

Crude Gem Veins can be encountered all across Farbane Woods and the southern section of Hallowed Mountain. Regular Gem Veins are located in Dunley Farmlands and Cursed Forest. And the Flawless Gem Veins are located around Silverlight Hills.

Other Ways To Collect Gem Dust In V Rising

Another popular method to start farming Gem Dust is by using the Devourer or Grinder. You can unlock the schematics for the workbenches by defeating the following bosses or completing certain quests. You will also require resources to craft the workbenches to place at your base

    WorkbenchHow to Get Crafting Materials
The DevourerDefeat Lidia the Chaos Archer12x Plank, 6x Copper Ingot
The GrinderComplete Fortify quest8x Plank, 4x Copper Ingot, 4x Whetstone
The Advanced Grinder Defeat Dominia the Blade Dancer8x Reinforced Plank, 60x Tech Scrap

Once you have the above workstations, you need to feed it Gems or Jewels to get Gem Dust. Jewels like the Blood Jewel, Frost Jewel, Chaos Jewel, Unholy Jewel, Illusion Jewel, and Storm Jewel will all give Gem Dust when placed inside Grinders or the Devourer. Depending on the tier of the jewel, you can get a higher output of gems

Another way to collect Gem Dust is to send your servants out on missions to farm them in particular areas. The Bastion of Dunley and the Harpy Nest are two missions that offer plenty of Gem Dust once completed. You can easily farm around 400+ Gem Dust upon completion of both these missions. And finally, you can collect Gem Dust from defeating mobs and stone golems, but the drop chances are random

How To Use Gem Dust In V Rising

Gem Dust is mostly required to help you in crafting Spectral Dust. Spectral Dust is required in crafting high end equipment and items like the Holy Resistance Flask, Phantoms Veil, and Schematics. You can start crafting Spectral Dust after getting the schematic from defeating Foulrot the Soultaker. Then, you need to gather 4x Gem Dust and 40x Ghost Crystals to craft one Spectral Dust at the Grinder
