    It can get tiring walking and running around everywhere in 7 Days to Die with dangers lurking at every corner. Your best friend for mobility in a post-apocalyptic world without cars is going to be the Bicycle. So, here is everything you need to know about bicycle in 7 Days To Die, from how to make them, how to repair and also how you can get a free one.

    How to Get a Bicycle for Free in 7 Days to Die

    You can get a bicycle for free in 7 Days to Die by completing all Tier 1 Quests for a Trader and then selecting the bicycle as your reward. There is no point in picking anything other than the bicycle for your Trader quest rewards as it will make the rest of the game so much easier.

    If you somehow have already crafted a bicycle, then that should be the only reason to not pick the bicycle as your Trader tier 1 Quest reward. The map in 7 Days to Die is huge, even if you choose to go with a random map, so the bicycle will open up a lot more locations to you and progress the game faster.

    How to Craft Bicycle in 7 Days to Die

    Before you craft a bicycle, you need to ensure that your character has reached Tier 1 for Vehicle crafting from the Crafting Skills. In total you require five skill points in the Vehicles category, you will have one by default and you can get the other four by reading Vehicle Adventure Skill Magazines.

    You will also need to find and read nine Forge Ahead Skill Magazines which will make your character reach Workstations Tier 2 and unlock the Workbench. Once all of these above prerequisites are met, you will now be able to craft a bicycle.

    You will need to following parts to craft a bicycle in 7 Days to Die:

    • Bicycle Chassis
    • Bicycle Handlebars
    • Wheel x2
    • Mechanical Parts x1

    Besides Mechanical Parts, the three bicycle parts require to be crafted individually and then put together at the Workbench to craft the finished bicycle. Check the table below for what items are required to craft each of these three bicycle parts:

    Keep in mind that you can sometimes even buy bicycle parts directly from some Traders, so keep an eye out for what they are selling as it can take a lot of time to gather the items required, buying it from the Trader is much easier.

    How to Ride and Use the Bicycle in 7 Days to Die

    Once you have crafted or obtained your first bicycle in 7 Days to Die, you can spawn it by placing it in your hotbar and pressing right-click on the ground. Press ‘E’ to start riding it, you can also use the shift key to go faster at the cost of a faster stamina drain. You can also use the nine storage slots on the bicycle to store valuable items.

    There are also a few other neat tricks you can do by holding the ‘E’ key on the bicycle to open a radial menu with more options. This menu can be used to put the bicycle back in your inventory by choosing the “Take” option. You can also do some other useful things like apply a password lock, honk, open storage, and repair.

    How to Repair Bicycle in 7 Days to Die

    To repair a bicycle in 7 Days to Die, you need a Repair Kit that can be crafted by combining Forged Iron and Duct Tape. Once you have a Repair kit, it can be used on a bicycle by holding E on it and selecting the “Repair” option which will consume one Repair Kit.

    How to Customize Bicycle in 7 Days to Die

    The default color of your bicycle in 7 Days to Die will be white. if you want to change it, you can go to the customization menu by holding ‘E’ on the bicycle or by selecting it in the same way from your inventory. Here, you will be able to change the color from the cosmetics slot using colored dye and it will also have two vehicle modification slots.

    Bicycle Tips and Tricks in 7 Days to Die

    There are a few tips you need to know about when using the bicycle in 7 Days to Die, here are some listed below:

    • You can hold the left mouse button to change your steering from the mouse direction to the ‘A’ key (left direction) and ‘D’ key (right direction). This allows you to free-look in certain directions while still going straight.
    • The bicycle can explode even 7 Days to Die which isn’t realistic but it’s still a thing. Once you are able to source bicycle parts easily, you can use this explosion mechanic by placing a bicycle in front of a powerful enemy like Demolisher. This will make it attack the bicycle and take damage when the bicycle explodes.
    • You can press the ‘C’ key to do a bunny hop on the bicycle, this can come in handy when you are trying to clear some gaps or curbs or any slight height differences in the terrain.
