Dynasty Warriors Origins takes you through the fall of the Han Dynasty in Ancient China, with all kinds of challenging missions guiding you through the storyline. As you progress further into the action-filled game, the enemies become increasingly stronger. One of the earliest missions in Chapter 2, Suppression of You Province, is one such challenge that is hard to complete without a well-planned strategy. Here’s a guide to conquering the battlefield and completing the mission with ease.
Suppression Of You Province: How To Unlock The Mission
To unlock the Suppression of You Province mission, read the letter sent by Liu Bei. He talks about fighting the rebellion every day and wants you to meet him at You Province. Once you read the letter at the Inn, you can carry on with the mission. Before you go and meet Liu Bei, you must meet an Elder in You Province. He will be near the Mountain Range. Once you talk to him, you can get a new weapon, the Spear.
While preparing for the battle, the new spear is a good option but try to go for a Longsword since you will be fighting many enemies at once. Take a strong horse with you, as you’ll be traveling between the various regions of this Province.
How To Complete Suppression Of You Province Mission
After getting the spear, make your way to You Province. Using the Eyes of the Sacred Bird can help you find the location. Suppression of You Province has these steps to complete and secure victory:
- Get control of the Southern Base
- Help the Central Unit
- Head back to the Camp & Eliminate the wicked Qiuliju
Keep in mind that you will only gain Victory by defeating Zhang Chun and Qiuliju successfully. If Gongsun Zan or Liu Yu, your comrades, are killed, the mission will automatically fail. While fighting the enemies, make sure Gongsun Zan and Liu Yu are always high on health.
Get Control of the Southern Base
Once the mission begins, the group will decide to split up between the Center and Eastern bases. Try to cover the Southern area and get control of the first base here. Doing so will help you later on when you return to this area from the Central Unit. Try to kill as many officers as you can while at this Southern Base. Here, you’ll unlock the special weapon, Wheels, which can kill hundreds of people at once using the Dance of Destruction ability. After reaching the Southern base, you will eventually have to battle Zhang Chun.
Help The Central Unit
While you’re fighting Zhang Chun, you’ll be informed that all of the enemy forces have decided to meet at the Central Unit. Be careful when this happens because Gongsun Zan will be fighting at the Central Unit and he can easily be defeated by the enemies if you don’t show up on time. Try to go back to the Central Unit after taking care of things at the Southern base.
Main Camp & Defeating Qiuliju
Once you have taken care of the soldiers at the Central Unit, head back to the Main Camp. At the beginning of the mission, Liu Yu decides to stay back and guard the main area. That camp will be recaptured by the rebellion and you’ll have to go and protect Liu Yu while defeating officers along the way.
After you eliminate the majority of enemy soldiers in the Central Unit, Qiuliju will appear and have a battle with you. To complete the mission, you must defeat him without you or your comrades dying. Be well prepared, as Qiuliju will bring many powerful soldiers with him.
Here are some tips you can use to defeat the powerful Rebellion:
- Try to use Musou Rage whenever possible. It will increase your attack damage and speed, which will help you defeat strong soldiers & officers with ease.
- Your companion can recognize your battle arts and match up with you, leading to powerful combo attacks. Try to fight alongside them and use these combo attacks often.
- There will be items near the battlefield that you can use to replenish your health. Keep an eye out for meat buns, as they can help you whenever you’re too low on health.
- Eliminate foes while on your horse to maximize the number of kills.
Suppression of You Province: Rewards For Completing The Mission
Completing the battle successfully rewards you with increased proficiency on any weapon that you use during the battle. You’ll also get points for Wanderer’s Level that can be used to get powerful new skills from the skill tree.
Another reward is that any horse you use during the battle will gain experience. The more people you kill while riding on your horse, the more EXP you can get in the end. The skill points you get after completing the mission will reflect the number of soldiers & officers you’ve killed during the mission.
