In the game, you will find around 10 different types of weapons to use. The guide will cover all the weapons available in the game, their grade, damage stats, and lastly, how to unlock them. Unlocking all of them is tied to specific events in the storyline. And if you are setting your eyes on the best damage-dealing one, you will need to fork in enough gold to purchase them.

    • Swords
    • Spears
    • Gauntlets
    • Wheels
    • Podao
    • Staff
    • Twin Pikes
    • Lances
    • Crescent Blades
    • Halberds

When you start the game for the very first time, you will be allowed to use only the sword, the rest of the arsenal gets unlocked as you progress through the story. Some of them are only revealed once you complete specific objectives. Here are some weapon details that will give you a general idea of how they work in the game.

    Weapon Grade:

Weapons in Dynasty Warrior Origins have grades instead of levels and qualities. The grading system starts from Level 1 and reaches Level 7. You will encounter different base stats within the weapon. Longsword +2 and Longsword +8 will come with different base attack stats(the first being lower, the latter being higher).

    Weapon Traits:

Weapons will have one trait slot attached to them, these trait slots can influence the weapon power, battle arts, loot drops, and more. Here having a higher weapon grade will also result in more trait slots. Every weapon will have a diamond icon listed under the name, more diamonds are equal to more trait slots for the weapon. The highest number of traits you can have for the weapon will be six, while the lowest will be one.

Note: You can only change the traits on your weapon once you have completed the campaign. This will bring up the reforge option, if you are unaware of the system, we have a guide to catch you up quickly.

    Weapon Proficiency:

The more you use a weapon on the battlefield, the more proficiency you receive for the particular type of weapon. Higher proficiency will result in the weapon gaining a rank. Unlocking new ranks will lead to more additional stats and combos. Starting your journey for the first time will have the Rank limited to 8. Jumping into the game again after finishing the campaign will take the Rank of the weapon to 11.

All the weapons listed below can be purchased from the shop with gold. We have listed all the gold amount details of each weapon available for purchase in the game.

Note: Dropped weapons will always have better traits than the purchased ones. The traits that come with the weapon will be random.
