Castor Woods offers a couple of hiding spots for valuable items. You get to uncover some of them during exploration, but oftentimes you will end up missing a few. If you have come into possession of Treasure Maps, you could solve them to figure out where the treasure is located. This guide will detail how to get the D1 map and where the treasure is in Dying Light: The Beast.
Where To Get The Treasure Map D1 in Dying Light: The Beast
You need to get to the top of River Tower in the River Tower Safe Spot to locate the D1 Treasure Map. The D1 Treasure Map is probably one of the easier maps to find, especially if you have already uncovered the River Tower Safe Spot. If you haven’t been here before, the Tower is in the Villa area. It’s south of Golden Pine and west of Old Town. The exact location is just southwest of Emil’s Brick School.
To get up the tower, scale the ladder pinned to the tree next to it, then jump across towards the wooden platform of the tower. Continue moving upward by using the ramps and jumping across the platforms above. Once you get to the top, look around for the map pinned to the wooden beam.
Where To Get The Treasure Map D1 Rewards in Dying Light: The Beast
Travel north to Emil’s Brick School, enter through the west side, and head to the Director’s Office to solve the treasure map puzzle. Find an open window on the lower floor after entering the western gate. Crawl through the space ahead and move east to the second crawlspace to reach the bathroom. Enter the vent above a toilet to access the other side.
Exit out the western doorway and enter the room to your immediate left. This room has a whiteboard with several 1s and 0s written on it. Enter it and use the code 5-40-90 on the safe beside the whiteboard. Pick up the valuables inside the safe, like a Smartphone, morphine, and jewelry. Also, retrieve the Beginner’s Manual Pages from the table near the whiteboard to complete the puzzle.
Entering the Dark Zone
The school still has valuables stashed away within the Dark Zone. To find this area, head up the stairs beside the vending machine in the western section of the area.
Go north and enter the library on the right. Make your way to the very back of the room to find another crawlspace. Go through it to enter a room with a chest. Exit out the door beside it to be taken to the staff room. Leave the room and enter the hallway.
At the end of the hall, enter the classroom on your right, then lockpick the door in the back corner. Enter the Dark Zone computer room and raid the area. Raid the room to pick up random valuable items like bracelets, jewelry, wristwatches. You might find more Beginner’s Manual Pages and also a Heavy Arm Protector.
