    Dragon Age: The Veilguard – The Complete Taash Romance Guide

    When you are playing a Bioware, most people expect to be in a relationship with a character. Dragon Age: The Veilguard has bought the romance companion system from their past games to the new Dragon Age entry. In the latest entry, Dragon Age: The Veilguard, you will have plenty of companions to build relationships and do more. But most of the relationship unlocks in Veilguard rely upon companion quests and navigating through dialog based on the companion’s traits to secure their favor or affinity towards you. Here is a guide to building a relationship with Taash in Dragon Age: The Veilguard.

    Taash Companion Overview

    Before we begin with the guide, here is a brief overview of Taash’s Character. Knowing her traits will help you pick the right dialogue choices during conversations with her.

    • Race: Qunari
    • Class: Warrior
    • Faction: The Lords of Fortune
    • Favorite Responses: Sarcastic & Aggressive
    • Hates: Necromancy and Undead.
    • Favorable Gift: Priceless Ancient Trinket

    Note: Emmrich will disapprove if you decide to join in the banter with Taash and agree to hate Necromancy or any undead-related topic.

    Major Dialog Choices For Taash Romance Buildup

    You must choose the right dialogue to attract the character you want to romance. Since it’s a Bioware game, prepare to juggle through many dialogues to pick the proper answer. After recruiting Taash into your group, talk to her at the lighthouse.

    There are some important dialogue choices you must make, to be on the side of Taash. In this section, we will go through all of Taash’s major dialogue choices.

    First Choice: The Seige of Weisshaupt

    • You must choose “Knock out the First Warden ” instead of “Talk Sense into the First Warden.”

    Second Choice: At the Lighthouse

    After the events of Seige of Weisshaupt, talk to Taash at the Lighthouse.

    • Here choose “I’m interested if you are ” instead of “No, I was just flirting.”(Ends the romance line with Taash)

    Once you profess your interest in Taash, you will get the Love icon in the companion menu.

    Third Choice: Dialogue exchange between Taash and Emmrich

    • Interfere with the dialogue exchange between Taash and Emmrich, take Taash’s side by mentioning that “Undeads are creepy.“

    Note: This will damage your relationship with Emmerich.

    Fourth Choice: A Little Dragon Hatches

    The crucial dialogue choice takes place in “A Little Dragon Hatches”. Choosing the right dialogue choice will land you on their good side.

    The game will give you three options:

    • “She’s using the Qun to help”
    • “Forget what she wants”
    • “She cares for you. So do I”

    The first two options will lead to nowhere with Taash, if you want to be in a committed relationship, you must pick the third option “She cares for you. So do I”.

    Tips For Romancing Taash In Dragon Age: The Veilguard

    Here are some of the helpful tips that will tie the knot faster with Taash.

    • While Taash does respond well to Kind Responses. To be on the romantic side, always choose a Sarcastic or Aggressive Response to gain her favor quickly in conversations.
    • When Taash opens up about her past, here makes sure she leans towards accepting her gender identity rather than pushing her to the Qunari or Rivaini culture.
    • Always bring Taash with you on a quest. Make sure Taash is in your group party when you complete a quest.
    • Gain affinity for Taash by clearing enemies in the Hall of Valor
    • Buy Priceless Ancient Trinkets for 90 gold to get a significant boost to their approval.

    How To Recruit Taash In Dragon Age: The Veilguard

    Finish the Dragon Slayer’s quest to recruit Taash.

    Before you think about romancing Taash, you must recruit her in the quest” The Dragon Slayer“. It will happen when Rook takes a journey to find out details about Necromancer and a Dragon Hunter. Seeking out the Dragon Hunter leads you to Rivain, the events here lead to Taash being recruited into your squad.

    Companion quests are absolutely necessary to build up our romance in Veilguard. Most of them are interlinked to the main quest and your decision to continue with the relationship or ditch it completely.

    Here is the list of Taash’s Personal Questline in Dragon Age: The Veilguard:

    • Fire on the Sands
      • Here you will learn about Taash’s mother.
    • A Little Dragon Hatches (Major Romantic Decision)
      • It unlocks after The Seige of Weisshaupt’s main questline. Here you will encourage Taash to accept her non-binary identity.
    • Slaying the Fangscorcher
      • Complete the Fire and Ice Main Questline and talk to Taash at the Lighthouse.
    • Kataranda the Storm Rider
      • Complete Kill High Dragon and obtain this personal quest in Taash’s HQ.
    • Lair of the Dragon King
      • Complete Blood of Arlathan then talk to Taash at Lighthouse.
    • Words of Fire
      • Speak to Taash at the lighthouse/ Trophy unlock “Little Dragon“

    When you are doing the questline, people always try to maintain the companion’s approval to make things work for the player. But when you are on Taash’s questline, it’s better to focus on her Dialogue and finish the Companion Quests.

    Note: The companion approval only factors nor has any impact on the companion Skillset level up, it doesn’t affect their romance.

    Taash opens up late, but you will not have any trouble bonding with her. Follow the tips mentioned above to get her to open up more to you, eventually, you will be able to unlock the romance option with her.
