You will come across a secret area in Chapter 2: Hebeth, unfortunately, the hidden door will be blocked off by flames constantly spewing out of the pipes above. Luckily, there is a way to turn off the flame. Here in this guide, we will take a look at how to get past the fire and reach the secret area in Hebeth.

Unlock the Secret Area in Hebeth

Hebeth Chapter 2 Map Doom Dark Ages

Objective: We must interact with a Valve locked in a hidden location to turn down the flames to access the secret area.

First, you must get to the flame section on the map. You can follow the location on the map in the picture to get to the spot. The location of the Valve is not far from the door. Here are the steps to find the Valve.

    • From the flame section blocking the door, take the stairs on the left, and climb up the wall at the end. The wall will have visible claw marks indicating its usage.
    • Once you reach the upper floor, you will find a steel barricade on a building to your right. Two large chains will be blocking off the steel barricade. Here, equip your shield and launch it at the chains to break them along with the steel barricade behind it.
    • With the steel barricade and chain destroyed, you can now jump inside the hole. This will take you to a new room overlooking the fire door. If you turn left, you will find the Valve on a large pipe controlling the flames at the door.
    • Interact with the Value to turn off the flames. Use the Shield bash ability to break the door of the Valve room. With the flames turned off, you can now get inside the hidden room.

The hidden room has a demon, ready for a jumpscare attack, waiting in the corner. Make sure to have your gun ready, as it will immediately launch an attack.

The game also has several puzzles, like the Wolf Statues in Chapters 6, 9, 16 and 20. Check our guide to ensure that you don’t miss out on these puzzles and the rewards on solving them.
