Battlefield 6 features a storyline that pits various characters against large-scale cinematic battles that are a spectacle in themselves. In some missions, however, you’ll be assigned to certain objectives that might feel a little confusing to finish. Taking out the AAA gun in the mission called “Gibraltar” is one such point in the campaign. In this guide, we pinpoint the possible way of taking out the AAA gun in Battlefield 6’s second mission.
How to Destroy the AAA Gun

You destroy the AAA gun by using a C-4 charge located just a few meters behind it. Once you reach the AAA gun in the second mission of Battlefield 6 as Simone Espina, codename “Gecko”, you’ll see that it doesn’t really get destroyed by your standard toolkit. Rather, you’ll need something stronger to destroy it. It is vital to take it out as the AAA gun is destroying your reinforcements on the island, and also stands in the way of progressing the objective.
Fortunately, you’ll see a Demolition Charge placed very conveniently on top of a military storage box, just a few meters behind the AAA gun. It is on the box behind which your partner, Carter, will take cover. Pick it up, and throw the C-4 on the AAA gun using your right-click or L2 on the controller. Once the C-4 satchel is placed, go to a safe distance and left-click/R2 on the controller to trigger the explosive.
Doing so will destroy the AAA gun, completing your objective and progressing the storyline further. The game is not very clear about letting players know through the HUD how to progress with this particular objective. Once you clear the AAA gun out, you’ll get warned about Pax Armata reinforcements swarming you and the team.
Battlefield 6, the latest entry in the franchise after Battlefield 2042, has gone off to a flying start with a 747k active player count on Steamdb at the time of writing this article, and is sure to go up over the weekend. The game has also been received well by most critics and sits at a score of 83 on Metacritic.
