Destiny 2 The Taken Path: All 3 Curse Quests Guide

Destiny 2 Heresy has a whole new questline that lets you collect a brand new Exotic weapon. The Taken Path quest lets you collect the Barrow-Dyad SMG at the end of it, but the questline itself revolves around finding tons of unique secrets in the new areas. There are three subquests within the main questline where you need to land a certain amount of kills, and these subquests are called the Curse of Endurance, the Curse of Urgency, and the Curse of Revenge. This guide will cover how to complete all three Curse quests in Destiny 2.

The three quest objectives will start while completing the Taken Path main quest. After completing quests within the two previous Lost Sectors, head back to the Slab in the Last City. Interacting with the Slab will bring up the three Curse subquests. Each quest is located in different sections of Sorrow’s Harbor on The Moon, and you need to visit each location to pick up a marked relic and defeat all the enemies during a limited time.

Each relic is located within certain Public Events or secret locations, and below are the events you need to participate in to get them.

    • Curse of Endurance: Altars of Sorrow
    • Curse of Urgency: Hallowed Grove
    • Curse of Revenge: Nightmare Hunt

In each location, as soon as you land there, you will get an indicator of the marked relic in your surroundings. Make your way over to the marked location and pick up the relic. In the Altars of Sorrow, you can find the relic right at the base of the first flight of stairs when you land in Sorrow’s Harbor. For Hallowed Grove, you have to make your way to the Sludge Lost Sector in the EDZ. It’s a hidden location, and making your way through Hallowed Grove will help you locate the relic.

Finally, you need to participate in the Nightmare Hunt: Pride to get the final relic. This one can take a bit of time, as Nightmare Hunts tend to rotate per week. If you are lucky enough to find it in your current run, then you should pick it up and complete the challenge associated with it. You can spot the Relic inside Skolas’ arena.

Each time you pick up a Taken Relic, you will get an objective to clear out the location that will immediately be filled with enemies. There might be a timer for some of the objectives as well, and you need to defeat all targets and the boss within this time frame. But each time you get a kill, you add more time, so you don’t have to worry about hurrying it up while working on this objective. For Nightmare Hunt: Pride, you have to work with your team to defeat Skolas as well as all the Taken enemies that appear.

Once you are done clearing up the area and getting rid of all enemies, you will get a prompt that says that the relic is growing heavy with power. Head back to the location where you picked up the Relic and destroy it there. Do this for all three relics to complete this side quest.

With Episode Heresy, there are several hidden secrets to explore in the new locations. You can also pick up several new weapons, and we have guides on the best God Rolls for the Eyes Unveiled and the Adamantite that you can check out.
