Complete Guide to Deviation Fusion in Once Human

Since you get a large roster of Deviants in Once Human, it is worth a shot to try to fuse them to get a unique Deviant combination. That’s where Deviation Fusion comes in, and this new contraption helps you achieve just that. If you are confused about using Deviation Fusion, we will try to break it down for you below.

How To Perform Deviation Fusion In Once Human

You need to unlock the Fusion Pod and build it at your base to start Deviation Fusion. Head into the Memetics menu and select the Crafting tab. At the very bottom of the tree is the option to unlock the Fusion Pod. To build the Fusion Pod, head into the Build menu and find the schematic under Facility > Special. You will require the following materials to craft one Fusion Pod.

    • Metal Scraps x10
    • Copper Ingot x20
    • Glass x20
    • Rubber x3

Only one Fusion Pod can be placed at your base. If you accidentally place the Fusion Pod at an alternative base or inside someone else’s base, then you can’t use it. Fusion Pods cannot be placed in Eternaland.

How to Use the Fusion Pod

Place two parent Deviations to get offspring with mixed traits of both parents. Each Deviant gets just one chance to fuse, and the ability to fuse again will be lost while trying to pick the same parent the next time. Deviants registered in the Symbiosis won’t work here, and you need to repick ones that are not on the list.

Besides picking parents, you also need to add Fusion Materials. Fusion Materials are either other Deviants, Livestock, or Tools that offer other unique traits to add to the offspring, apart from the traits passed on from the parent. Note that fusion materials are gone once used up. It takes 10 minutes to complete the fusion process. To stop, just click the Terminate button below the machine.

    Determining Offspring Stats

To know what traits the offspring picks up, interact with the Fusion Pod and pick two parent Deviants. On the left, you will get the probability stats of the offspring and the type of offspring you might get. Your parent selection can be changed before the fusion process. Once you are happy with the result, select the central section of the pod to add to your materials. Select Begin Fusion once you are ready.

To increase the probability of a particular trait showing up in an offspring, ensure that at least one or both parents have the desired trait. Next, in the materials pod, add creatures that have the same desired trait to increase your chances of the trait passing down by tenfold. Also, experiment with different parents and materials having different traits to get unique combinations.

    Best Traits to Use

While picking the offspring traits, if you don’t know what traits to look for, check out the list below.

    • Upper Hand – Whenever Energy drops to 0, automatically consume Vitality to recover energy
