Blue Protocol: Star Resonance – How to Catch the Escaping Johnny

When you dive into the expansive MMO world of Blue Protocol: Star Resonance, it’s natural to hit a few roadblocks. But sometimes those roadblocks come in the form of a simple quest like chasing down an enemy. Catch the Escaping Johnny Chase quest is one such example of that. If you’re struggling to locate Johnny, here’s exactly where you should focus your search.

Guide to Catch the Escaping Johnn in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance

Follow him through the rooftops and alleyways while avoiding the smoke bombs, and finally break through his hiding spot. This quest requires you to constantly keep an eye on the running Asterfeeds Defense Corps soldier as he maneuvers through the map. Watch out for the smoke bombs that temporarily blind you, leading to Johnny escaping.

The trickiest part, however, comes at the very end, where you see just a blue crate at the very end of the chase, with no sign of Johnny. What you have to do is hit the crate a couple of times, since that is, in fact, Johnny hiding in disguise.

The quest starts near the ports, where an Asterfeeds Defense Corps soldier escapes into the city, and a dialogue from the player, stating, “Damn it! That one ran off that way! There must be something hidden after him!”

To successfully chase him, below is the path you should follow:

    • Take a left first and then a right to reach a pile of boxes near a wall
    • Jump on these boxes to reach the marketplace. From here, take a right first and then a left into an alleyway
    • Turn right into the alley and climb up the stairs to spot the soldier on the rooftop

After following this path, you’ll trigger a small cutscene. The soldier will taunt you by saying, “You’re so slow! I’ve been waiting for ages! Catch me if you can!”

Following that, he’ll jump off and run away. You need to make haste and follow the next steps listed below:

    • Jump off the ledge to the neighboring rooftop. From there, jump to the roof where the soldier was standing.
    • Avoid the first smoke bomb marked with a red circle on the roof and jump onto the road to chase Johnny
    • Dodge two more smoke bombs by jumping around or over them while the soldier turns right towards the market.
    • He’ll then dodge right from the staircase (note that he’ll not get on them) and sneak into an alleyway.
    • When you turn into the alleyway, there you will find he has vanished.
    • Attack the big blue box in the center of the alley to bring out the hiding soldier from his disguise.
    • Stop attacking when Johnny says, “Stop! Stop! I’m coming out!”

By following these steps, you’ll successfully complete the quest to Catch the Escaping Johnny Chase in Blue Protocol: Star Resonance. You can choose to continue a cutscene with Johnny or skip to complete the mission.
