Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced – Salt Lagoon Treasure Map Location

Treasure hunting is one of the best parts of being a pirate, and Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced lets players hunt loot until their greedy little hearts are content. However, locations like the Salt Lagoon have a lot of players confused, as this island is both the location where some buried treasure is hidden AND is also the location where another map can be found to hunt more treasure elsewhere.

Unlike the tailing missions, Resynced keeps treasure hunting the same as in the original game, but some treasure maps are harder to find than others. Not only does it take a long time to hunt down all the treasure in the game, but some of this pirate booty can be a real pain in the peg leg to uncover – and so are the maps that lead you there in the first place.

How to find the Salt Lagoon Treasure in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced

The Salt Lagoon Treasure Map location in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced has already stumped quite a few players, so here’s what you need to do to find it, and the treasure it leads to.

First, sail to Abaco Island (which is located at the coordinates 581, 804) and head to the southwest area. Now scan the location for a skeleton holding a bottle with a message in it. It shouldn’t take you long if you use your Assassin’s senses. You may even get an audio prompt from Edward when you’re nearby.

Now, sail to the Salt Lagoon (coordinates 719, 607) and head to the northwest beach. You’ll see a massive rock with some palm trees and wooden boxes near it. The treasure is located right at the end of the grass. So, go to the furthest bit of grass from the rock, opposite the wooden box, and dig.

The treasure contains the Serpent Figurehead Design Plan (which you can take to the Harbourmaster to upgrade your ship) and 3000 Reales, which is a tidy sum for just a bit of sailing and digging.

Once you’ve found the treasure, Salt Lagoon has another treasure map for you to find.

Now that you’ve got your grubby mitts on the Salt Lagoon treasure, go to the northeast of the island near the bendy palm tree and look for another pirate skeleton with a letter in a bottle.

This treasure is located on New Bone (coordinates 407,94) and can be found just north of the settlement in the northeast part of the island in the sand, just south of the rowing boats and palm trees. The treasure is an Art Collection Piece: Maize Deity, along with 2500 Reales.

If you run into any harsh weather while you sail, here’s how to survive a hurricane in Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. It would be a shame for all that well-earned treasure to end up at the bottom of the sea.
