Arc Raiders – Where To Find Expired Respirators

The Headwinds update added in ARC Raiders has added the Trophies system under the Raider Expedition menu, giving dedicated players new rewards and bragging rights for filling them out.

For these Trophy crafts, players need to deposit several specific items found in the wild. These start simple, with various Arc parts, growing more and more obscure as the levels progress.

A tier two challenge tasks Raiders with finding Expired Respirators, an esoteric item most folks have entirely forgotten about. Usually only used for scrap, these outdated medical materials are all that stands between you and a new trophy, so let’s take a look at the best places to find them!

Best Places To Find Expired Respirators in ARC Raiders

Respirators can be found on the Stella Montis, Dam Battlegrounds, and Buried City maps. These are small, facial coverings that look like gas masks and blend into the environment easily, making it paramount to know where to look.

Currently, I’ve found that the Expired Respirators spawn at the above three locations more consistently, narrowing our search and even giving us some options. Within these areas, the actual spots to find these Respirators are very specific, so lets take a closer look.

    Dam Battlegrounds

The Dam Battlegrounds has the smallest area for Expired Respirators, making it the quickest to check. In turn, you’ll only have a few chances to find the Respirators.

Expired Respirators are found in the Testing Annex building, specifically on the second floor. The west side of the building is a makeshift medical center, packed with containers and boxes.

Avoid the breachable containers, as those are specifically used for mechanical components. Drawers, boxes, and slide-out containers amidst the medical supplies are the only locations here where the Respirators can spawn, so take the time to check every easily openable container you can.

    Stella Montis

Stella Montis’s Medical Research Station is another great place to find Expired Respirators. The side rooms of the Medical Research Station are made up of labs and patient rooms, packed to the brim with gurneys.

These gurneys, whether they’re in a patient room or not, have a chance of spawning Syringes, Adrenaline Shots, and for our purposes, Expired Respirators.

Be warned that the Medical Research Station is a high-threat level zone, giving more of a chance to find the Respirators, but also coming with a heavier Arc presence. Dangerous Shredders can turn the hallways into deathtraps, so stay mobile if you’re alone.

    Buried City

The Buried City Map in Arc Raiders

The Buried City has an entire Hospital that can spawn the Expired Respirators, though I had the easiest time finding them on its higher floors.

The Buried City’s wide sightlines and relative lack of cover make it a PvP nightmare, so stack quiet or easy to approach as you cross the dunes. Like Stella Montis, Expired Respirtators can be found on gurneys through the Hospital.

These gurneys are mostly found on the sides of hallways, sometimes leaving you to the mercy of shattered walls in the outer areas. Be careful, both of patrolling Arcs and enemy players are just as desperate to find Respirators and other higher-quality gear.

Overall, sticking to medical facilites of any kind will keep you on the right track to find Expired Respirators, though the competition is downright bloodthirsty at the moment. No matter what map you decide works best for you, stay mobile, prepared, and don’t be afraid to use the Arcs to your advantage wherever you can.

Remember, the best way to get rich is to stay alive, and a trophy room doesn’t mean much if you’re not around to finish it.
