Different endings can make the entire game playthrough redundant or meaningful, in any RPG game, the ending will matter a lot as it will tie up every bit of the story leading to a moral or immoral path. In the Starfield DLC as well, there are different endings that you can arrive at, depending upon what you choose at the end of the final quest. If you are not sure which decision will lead to what kind of consequences, we have explained all Starfield Shattered Space Endings in this guide.

All Endings In Shattered Space Explained

Since the game features different endings to the storyline, we will focus on all the endings to the game and the consequences they carry to your decisions.

    Bad Ending: Submit To Anasko

When you decide to Release the Phantom for Anasko over Terminate Life Pod Support. Here you will gradually move towards the Submit Ending. In the end, the game will throw you one last pivotal decision point, whether to bow down to Anasko let him take the reign, or fight him to the death (The proper answer).

Submit Ending will lead to an instant game over. This would lead to the dominos effect, as Anakso will eliminate every house in Dazra and then will go after the entire galaxy. A mad tyrannical end to the Shattered Space quest line.

    Consequences To Submit to Anasko

One simple word Death. An immediate Game Over screen.

Note: The Submit Ending is an instant game over, everything that unfolds after your demise is left to the imagination. No cutscene or dialogue will follow up detailing the massacre set by the hand of Anasko and his Phantom minions.

    The Only Option: Kill Anasko

When you die after Submitting to Anasko, the game will hit restart from checkpoint putting you on the same path but encouraging you to make the only best decision, which is to Kill Anasko. You have no choice but to kill Anasko to trigger the next set of events or to see a conclusion to the overall story of Shattered Space.

After you successfully defeat Anasko, you will wake up in a room with all three Houses of Va’ruun arguing with each other. Here you will explain everything (battle with Anasko) to them and begin the last phase of DLC. The conversation you will have with the characters in the room will carry out the ending for the Shattered Space.

    Good Ending: Choosing Peace

Here is the guide to trigger the good ending in Shattered Space.

    • First, you must pick one of the houses to lead. the option here lingers between House Veth’aai, House Dul’kehf, and House Ka’dic. After you make the decision talk to Malibor Dul’kehf to continue the quest.
    • Here Inaza Kaisir will bring up the topic of The Serpent’s Crusade and will ask us to explain it to the other members in the room.
    • The conversation eventually will lead to Starting The Serpent’s Crusade (Bad Ending)or Go Against It.
    • When you decide to go against the Serpent’s Crusade, House Va’ruun will pull out of the dream of conquering the galaxy by starting any war and entering the age of peace.

This concurs with the peace ending (Good Ending) to Shattered Space. Here you will still work as an official member of House Va’ruun’kai and obtain access to Vacant House.

Note: When you are given the choice to pick between three houses to lead, you can decide to abandon all of them. Once you decide to sever your ties to all the houses, the game will not give you the option to Start the Serpent Crusade.

Bad Ending: Starting The Serpent Crusade

Since the good ending has us keeping the House Va’ruun out of any sort of involvement in the war, what if you decide to go to war and start the Serpent Crusade?

    • Once you decide to start the Serpent Crusade, the war will begin against the settled systems with more determination thanks to your support.
    • The only good outcome of the neverending war is the access to Vacent House in Va’ruun’kai. That’s right, you will get a brand new house even if you start a war against the whole Settled System.

Note: All the devastation of war from the House Va’ruun is again, left to our imagination, the game doesn’t show any of the atrocities that would unfold in the Serpent’s Crusade. While you did start the Crusade, you will never encounter the consequences of your decision on the Settled System.

Consequences of Starting The Serpent Crusade

    • Barrett, Same Coe, and Sarah Morgan will dislike your decision, only if they were with you when you made the choice. All of them had to be in the same room to show disdain for your choice.

Think of this ending as a war-focused conclusion to your journey into the Shattered Space. Basically, rushing the inevitability of House Va’ruun’s vendetta against the Settled System.

    Bad Ending: Leaving House Va’ruun

    All Starfield Shattered Space Endings

It is a bad ending since you decided to leave everything and let the house Va’ruun figure everything out by themselves with your say or advice. This will amplify the conflict eroding inside the House Va’ruun.

    • When you are deciding on the house you want to lead, here opt out of abandoning all of them. By claiming the House Va’ruun dead, you are on your way to achieving the Leave Ending.
    • No more decisions after that, the House Va’ruun will not be pleased with your choice as they will allow you to level the Va’ruun but threaten to kill you on sight.

    Consequences for Leave Ending:

    • Vacant House Becomes Inaccessible
    • Dazra City becomes hostile to your presence.
    • Andreja will get angry with you.

As a target on your back from House Va’ruun, you can continue but none of the story arks here will conclude as you decide to leave the conflict to do something else. Not an ideal end to a hero’s journey, but you can always come back to fix it.
