Your Drone assists in investigations and, with the right modules, will help repel enemies and more. Drone customization is possible by adding modules for specific tasks. This guide ranks all 8 Drone Modules in Hell is Us from worst to best.
Hell is Us – All 8 Drone Modules Ranked
There are 8 base Drone Modules in the game, and these are split into Basic and Elite modules, giving you a total of 16 modules to choose from. While the Elite modules are the best set of modules the game has to offer, within those, too, you might have some preferences.
Not all modules offer the same effects, hence why it is important to know what you are getting before implementing it into your drone. Below is the ranking for all 8 Elite Drone Modules, starting from the worst modules to the best.
8. Entropic Field

The Entropic Field destroys projectiles tossed by Lymbic enemies, protecting you from ranged attacks. The main limitation is its situational use, as projectile-based enemies are uncommon, making this module less useful over time. However, in challenging areas filled with projectile threats, it can be crucial for defense.
- Use Mechanic: Toggle
- Lock-On Required: No
- Cooldown: 90 sec
- Duration: 120 sec
- Time Reduction Per Hit: 10 sec
7. Whirlwind

With this module, your unit attaches itself to you and spins you around. Whirlwind is a more difficult module to use and is only helpful if you own an extended weapon that hits targets from a distance. If you do own such a weapon, then you get to deal excessive damage to any Lymbic Entities in close proximity.
- Use Mechanic: Tap
- Lock-On Required: No
- Cooldown: 180 sec
- Damage Per Hit: 190
6. Forward Charge

The drone attaches itself to you and propels you towards targets at high speeds. This creates a collision with several enemies in your path, creating high-velocity impact force. The damage output of this move is high, hence it is something to keep with you when things start getting tough.
- Use Mechanic: Tap
- Lock-On Required: No
- Cooldown: 180 sec
- Damage: 1100
5. Death from Above

With this, your drone attaches itself to you and lifts you up, helping you attack from above. Death from Above also increases your damage output, helping you get rid of hordes of enemies if they seem to overpower you. Great for crowd control, but might have limited use in certain areas.
- Use Mechanic: Tap
- Lock-On Required: No
- Cooldown: 135 sec
- Damage: 2250
4. Distract

When triggered, the drone emits Lymbic Resonances that overwhelm Lymbic targets and incapacitate them. This is a great way to stun enemies or negate attacks, and is especially useful against Haze fights. If you are dealing with multiple enemies at once, use this to get a breather.
- Use Mechanic: Toggle
- Lock-On Required: Yes
- Cooldown: 60 sec
- Duration: 45 sec
3. Rearguard

Another great module to stun and stagger enemies, the drone releases high-voltage discharge upon any enemy approaching you. This keeps the drone on high alert, negating any attacks. You are also alerted to nearby enemies this way, helping you get away or attack them efficiently.
- Use Mechanic: Toggle
- Lock-On Required: No
- Cooldown: 90 sec
- Duration: 120 sec
- Time Reduction Per Hit: 15 sec
2. Shockwave

The drone releases Lymbic Resonance that destabilizes multiple targets in close proximity, giving an easier time to take them all out. The shockwave module might seem similar to Distract, but this module is perfect for stunning multiple targets at once rather than incapacitating them.
- Use Mechanic: Tap
- Lock-On Required: Yes
- Cooldown: 135 sec
- Stance Damage: 55
1. Surge Step

Surge Step lets you maneuver quickly to evade danger or reach targets fast. With this module, the drone attaches itself and rapidly moves you around, helping you dodge attacks or close distances without engaging directly. It’s most valuable for tactical repositioning and escape.
- Use Mechanic: Toggle
- Lock-On Required: No
- Cooldown: 90 sec
- Duration: 40 sec
