Yasha Legends of the Demon Blade features tough bosses and enemy encounters, one small mistake can easily wipe you out, back to the beginning of the entire game. To make sure that doesn’t happen as frequently as possible, we have crafted a guide to help you along the game by taking proper skills and upgrades that put you on the edge. Without further ado, here are tips and tricks to beat Yasha Legends of the Demon Blade.

    Pick the Right Skill Orb

    Skill Options Yasha

Once you clear an area, you will get a small white Orb on the ground. Picking it up allows you to add different upgrades for both of your swords. I recommend picking upgrades to the Light and Heavy attack damage increases before committing to anything else. Another skill to keep an eye out for is one that increases the damage of Mystic Artes (Parry).

Each skill has three upgrades, so if you come across another White Orb at a different stage that upgrades an already-equipped skill, pick that.

    Always Perform a Charged Parry

Combo Fight Yasha Legends of the Demon Blade

We found the charged parry does an incredible amount of damage to almost all the enemies on the battlefield, all at once. While the common parry, or as it is named, Mystic Artes, does decent damage, when you charge your attack and release just at the right time, it leaves devastating damage to all the enemies in the spot.

Just when the enemy’s attack has a golden circle around it, release the charge button, and you will immediately deal a huge amount of damage, potentially killing all enemies in the field.

Always Buy Amulets From the Shop

    Amulet Store Yasha

After beating a boss, you will enter a Hub area. You will find shops selling a good amount of Amulets under 300 coins. Make sure to save the gold to spend it here, these amulets will have super useful perks to help you reach the end of the game. Make sure to spot the one with fewer disadvantages, as you will easily find some of the riskier sides of amulets.

While it is easy to skip these, the amulets do carry over, and don’t get replaced with a new one in subsequent runs, so the investment is worth the return that you get.

    Complete Secret Missions

Amulet Blessing and Cursed Effect Yasha

While in the Hub area, you will also have a secret mission that rewards you with a few coins, souls, and an Amulet upon completion. These missions will last for a minute or less, but if you fail once, you won’t be able to tackle it again, and you will lose half of your health. Don’t worry, the effect is not permanent, you can always heal up. While you are going to have a difficult time at the beginning, we recommend that you take the secret missions for the rewards.

Sometimes it’s better to Take A Forbidden Amulet Choice

After completing these secret missions, you will get an Amulet, but it is a special type of Amulet that will offer two options: Either take the Blessing option or the Forbidden option. A Blessing Amulet will offer a perk with no disadvantage, while a corrupted one will offer an Amulet perk with a great perk, but also balance the perk by setting up a disadvantage. If the Blessing option doesn’t offer any good perk, feel free to take the Forbidden amulet.

Note: These Corrupted Amulets will also show up when you interact with the Shrines in stages. The chances are rare, but the game might drop off these Amulets. So always interact with the shines before leaving.

Don’t Skip out on the Meal

Recipes Dishes Yasha Legends of the Demon Blade

In the Hub area, after the boss battle, you will find a fox waiting in front of the ramen shop. Talk to him to order the new dishes that will unlock new upgrades. Some dishes will give you HP bonus, Shield, Attack bonus, Faster Dash Recovery, Health Recovery, Critical Hit Damage, and more. These effects will affect your character throughout your entire run.

Once you eat a dish, eating another dish will remove the previous effect and replace it with a new one. So make sure to pick the one with the most amount of benefits. I would always go with more Damage and Critical Hits above anything else. Some dishes will cost 40 coins, while others can go up to 240 coins.

    Don’t Waste Weapon Upgrades

Always upgrade the weapon that you are fond of using in combat. The weapon parts are rare, you get one or two in an area and a guaranteed drop in the boss arena. The later requirement for weapon upgrade will require 10 or more of the weapon fragments all at once. Wasting it on another weapon that you will never use is not something you want to do in the game.

    Pray at the Shrine

    Shrine Yasha

The game will drop an orb after the completion of each stage, before you interact with the portal to get to the next stage on the mission. Here, if you look to your right or left, you will find a small Shrine. Interacting with it will give either coins, spirit points, food, or amulets. It’s all random, but if a cat bursts out of the altar after interaction, then it is a guaranteed Amulet drop.

    Combine Different Weapons

The effect of one weapon will activate even if you are holding a different weapon in your hand. This opens up a more customizable option to the gameplay. You can equip two different weapons, and take advantage of both of them while holding the first or the second weapon.

Trouble Defeating a boss? Quit the Game

One of the neat little tricks I came across, if you are having trouble beating any boss in the game, just do a hard exit from the game, or just quit to the Title menu. The game will spawn you right at the beginning of the boss fight, so you can have another go without dying and starting all over again. The game will never spawn you in the middle of the last combat with the boss, it will always be a fresh scenario.
