Dying Light: The Beast has multiple easter eggs that reference the classic to the modern shows. If you are hooked to Dying Light: The Beast, you don’t want to miss out on the fun easter egg. Not only are they amazing finds on their own, but a handful of them lead to a unique reward at the end. Here are all the easter eggs in Dying Light: The Beast.

    EXPcalibur Easter Egg

Where to Find: Head northeast of the Monastery safe zone, cross the lake, and you will get to a climbable spot.

Folks who have played the first Dying Light probably know the existence of EXPcalibur in the Dying Light universe. Dying Light: The Beast does bring back EXPcalibur in a hidden location. Just get to the location shown in the picture above. Here, you will have to climb up the giant rock using the ledges to get to the top. Once you make your way to the top, you will find EXPcalibur in the middle. You will need 8 sigil stones to be able to get the sword, though.

    Minecraft Easter Egg

Where to Find: Head east out of the Monastery safe zone, cross the river, and you will find the brick wall.

Unlike a common brick wall, this one will be flipped to the side. While it may give you the appearance of a common brick wall, if you go through the wall, you will find the hidden area. Follow the linear route and you will come across Minecraft blocks. You can equip your melee weapon to break them. There are plenty of rooms you will find filled with nothing but Minecraft blocks. Just use your melee weapon to break the walls to get to the underground area with an inoperable golden train sitting on the track. On the front of the train, you will see a large cart with a bunch of items on it, one of which is Last Hand of GloVa Legendary Consumable.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Easter Egg

Where to Find: Get to Sewer Maintenance Point, located west of the Railway Station.

You will get to the spot if you take part in the Hydro-Puzzle side quest in the game. Open the door, climb down the ladder. Now turn right, keep walking in that direction, and then jump down. Defeat the enemies, head straight, and then take a hard right to get to the dead end. Here you will find a couple of pizza boxes with a dead rat on top of them.

    Don’t Open Dead Inside

Where to Find: Get to the Mountain Shelter Tower in Caster Woods Nature Reserve area.

Any zombie-loving fanatic must recognise the line from the famous show about zombies, The Walking Dead. You will see the line written on a gate in the very first episode of The Walking Dead. The infamous line has made its way into Walking Dead, and when you do open the door, you will find The Needle, one of the legendary weapons in Dying Light: The Beast.

    Silent Hill 2 Easter Egg

You must head northwest of the Recreation Island Tower safe spot, north of Old Town. You will find the dead body of James Sunderland (the Main protagonist from Silent Hill 2) face down on the ground. You can interact to roll over his dead body to pick up a common item. You will see him wearing the same clothes as he did in Silent Hill 2 Remake.

    Mulder Sunflower Seeds

Where to Find: From the Highway Bus Refuge in Industrial Park, head southwest until you come across a large brick chimney.

All you have to do is climb onto the top of it, and you will find Mulder Sunflower Seeds amongst many items. If you have seen X-Files, Mulder will always be chewing on the Sunflower Seeds. After you find the bag of Sunflower Seeds, just quit the game and get to the Main Menu screen. Here, you will see Kyle Crane eating from the same bag of Sunflower Seeds.

    Raft from Cast Away

Where to Find: From the Abandoned House Safezone, head to the tiny island in the north

The infamous raft from Cast Away (2000) has made its way to Dying Light: The Beast. The island is located west of the Mist boss fight location during the First Blood story quest.

    Eminem in the Bus

Where to Find: Head west from the Village Tower safe spot, and you will find an abandoned bus. Head to the back of the bus, inside, and you will find the easter egg.

You will find a skeleton with headphones on with a sheet of paper on its lap, leaning next to the window. A recall to the scene from the 2002 hit 8 Mile by Eminem. When you interact with the paper, you will see some writing on it. Instead of Lose Yourself by Eminem, Dying Light: The Beast’s Eminem has a different song, Choose Yourself. The Lyric goes like this:

“His toes are sweaty, lips weak, balls are heavy,

There’s vomit on his hoodie already, Dad’s spaghetti.”

This time, we see Dad cooking the spaghetti instead of Mom.

So far, we have only come across a handful of them, but we will update the article as we explore more in the world and find more new easter eggs in the vast land of Dying Light: The Beast.
