Valheim is an open-world game that will have you play as a Viking and has all the signature mechanics typical of the survival genre: base building, exploring the world to gather resources, and upgrading your character. New monsters and content have been added to the game’s Mountain biome in Valheim’s latest update. The game now has a new armor set: the Fenris Armor, introduced in the Frost Caves update. This article will guide you on how to craft the Fenris Armor in Valheim and its benefits.

You should visit the Mountain biome in Valheim to craft the Fenris Armor set. All the materials to craft each piece of the set are available here.

The following supplies are needed to assemble all three pieces of Fenris Armor:

    Fenris Hood:

    •  Fenris Hair x 20
    • Wolf Pelt x 2
    • Cultist Trophy x 1

    Fenris Coat

    • Fenris Hair x 20
    • Wolf Pelt x 5
    • Leather Scraps x 10

    Fenris Leggings

    • Fenris Hair x 20
    • Wolf Pelt x 5
    • Leather Scraps x 10

With these resources, you’ll need to use a Forge that’s been upgraded to level 2.

To collect fernis hair head to the mountain biome and equip a warm armor to resist the frost in the area. Fernis hair is usually found in Frost caves both as found around the caves on altars or in random chambers or hanging from one corner.

    Wolf Pelt

Wolf Pelts are easy to get. You must defeat a wolf to receive Wolf pelts, Wolf fangs, and Wolf trophies.

    Leather Scrap

You can get Leather Scraps by defeating boars. There are several biomes where they can be found, including Black Forest and Meadows. When defeated, they drop Leather Scraps as treasure. When you defeat bats they also drop Leather Scraps. Usually, you can find them in caves, especially in the mountains. Additionally, Muddy Scrap Piles found in the Swamp biome, contain Leather Scraps. To gather Leather Scraps, just dig these piles while holding a pickaxe.

    Cultist Trophy

Cultist Trophy is rare to obtain, it is dropped when you defeat a cultist in the frost cave.

These three pieces of armor can be worn individually, but wearing them all at once grants you various benefits. The three pieces of Fenris armor have the following statistics, along with the benefit that comes with wearing the entire set.

    Fenris Hood:

    • Weight: 1
    • Durability: 1000
    • Armor: 10
    • Movement speed: +3%

    Fenris Leggings:

    • Weight: 10
    • Durability: 1000
    • Armor: 10
    • Movement speed: +3%

    Fenris Coat:

    • Weight: 10
    • Durability: 1000
    • Armor: 10
    • Damage modifier: Resistant vs Frost
    • Movement speed: +3%

All three parts together have a speed bonus of 9%, fire resistance, and a +15 unarmed skill point boost when equipped together. When combined with the new Flesh Rippers in Valheim, this effectively transforms the player into a beast.

And that completes everything on the Fenris armor in Valheim. You may also want to check out how this fares against the Carapace armor in the game.
