Final Fantasy Resonance: Rogue Rebel Quest Guide

Rogue Rebel is a side quest that becomes available after you clear the story beat that occurs in the Zoldaad Empire, and expands on the rebel cause that you’ll have become very familiar with courtesy of your new party member Jake. 

Typically the side content in Resonance is pretty straightforward, but on this occasion, there are quite a few things that you need to find, mostly within the Capital, which is a nightmare to get around due to the different distracts access by tram.

Starting Rouge Rebel 

As mentioned, this quest will only become available when you fully complete chapter four of the story, so prioritize this, and then come back to the Rebel Base when you get a chance, as this will allow you to pick up this quest from Simon. A man in search of Dario, who he suspects to have been a spy. 

To begin making sense of this, you need to head to The Zoldaad Capital, where you can start asking around if anyone knows Dario using his picture. However, the civilian that will give you the intel you want is the small child in the Slums. 

Talk to them and they will say that Dario was very interested in the Manhole Covers in the city. Manholes that you discover to have some sort of secret code on them, meaning you need to track down five more

All Manhole Cover Locations 

The good news is that all the manholes you are looking for are in the Zoldaad Capital. The bad news is that the tram system and the awkward camera angles in this city make it a little tricky to find them all. So here is where you will find each of them: 

#1 – You’ll find the first one near the clocktower in the Imperial Hotel district, just in front of the noticeboard 

#2 – The second manhole is in the same district, head closer to the Imperial Hotel, and left of the hotel door, you’ll find it. 

#3 – The third Manhole is in the commercial district behind the wooden cart with sacks in it, with the little girl standing nearby. 

#4 – The fourth manhole is in the Castle Plaza district right in front of the juggling street performer. 

#5 – The final manhole is in the Residential District right at the center of this area beside the NPC with the green waistcoat. 

Finding The Robed Merchant 

After you find all the manholes, the code will be revealed and will spell out ‘Robed Merchant’. Meaning you’ll need to find someone that fits that description. Initially you might think it’s the merchant that was operating out of the Slums when you first arrived in the capital, but you’d be mistaken. 

Instead, you’ll want to head to the Commercial District and while they won’t have a blue quest marker above head, if you speak to the NPC in the brown robes standing off to the side, youll find you’ve found your next lead. 

They will also ask you for a password, which is ‘Wild Rose’ so be sure to answer accordingly. 

Without spoiling things too much, it seems that Dario wasn’t a spy after all, and you can head back to the Rebel Base to give Simon the news. Where you will be rewarded with the Rose Circlet, and some Magicite.
