Once you have visited the Abandoned Church and have taken down your first (or technically second) boss, General Lothaire. You’ll find that Valor Mortis finally removes your training wheels and really lets you loose in a more open space, in this case, the Fallen Village.
This area is home to the Iron Marshall, where you get your grapple ability and where you find Louis. But we want to focus on a little side quest called The Scarecrow.
You’ll find a man eternally suffering, playing the role of a living scarecrow, and your job is to find a way to let him be at peace.
Finding The Scarecrow’s Belongings

The goal of this quest is to bring the Scarecrow’s lost items back to him, but you can only progress the quest when you have both.
The first item you can get almost right away, but it is very easily missed. You’ll notice a large tree near the Scarecrow. Head over there, and at the base of the tree you’ll find a dead soldier and a locket laying on the ground.

Then secondly you’ll want to progress through the chapter until you gain access to the house that loops you back to the first lantern. Then, head up the stairs of this house and you’ll find a note that belonged to the Scarecrow.
With both these items in hand, you can then head back to the Scarecrow and return his stuff.
Following The Crows

When you give the Scarecrow back his stuff, the crows that were circling above will clear off and will head to a new area of the map. To complete this quest, you’ll need to follow them.
They’ll head to a barn nearby. The quickest route to get there is through the house where you got the letter, and you’ll probably be able to spot them floating overhead from there.
Head to the upper level of the barn, watch the flashback, and then interact with the items lying in the hay, and you’ll complete the quest, earning the Bountiful Harvest Amber in the process.
