The unexpected free Third Sin DLC drop created a frenzy in the Blasphemous fan circle. The DLC being free to play is a cherry on the top of a really nice cake. But as with any souls-like game, accessing the DLC can be harder than the actual bosses in-game.
Blasphemous 2 also makes you work for the DLC by getting a special item and heading to a specific location to gain access to the new DLC. How to Start the Third Sin DLC in Blasphemous 2
The DLC area is located inside the mist-filled area in the Choir of Thorns and can only be accessed by first acquiring the Lamp of the Whisper of the Mist.
Steps to Get the Lamp of the Whisper of the Mist:
The Game Kitchen
- First, make your way to the City of the Blessed Name, the central hub area. Just travel to the Prie Dieu – City of the Blessed Name or the fast travel point.
- Now make your way to the right, jump over the floating platform with a ladder leading to the top. Move to the right, and you will see a ladder leading to the lower floor.
- Once you hit the lower ground, keep moving right until you see blue spikes on the floor leading to the room above. Get inside the room, and you will find a closed coffin with a blue flame on the top.
Interact with the coffin, and you will get the item, “Lamp of the Whisper of the Mist.“
Travel to the Third Sin DLC Area
The Game Kitchen
Now head back to the Prie Dieu at City of the Blessed Name. Interact with the Prie Dieu and choose the option “Travel between Prie Dieus”. You need to travel to the Prie Dieu at the bottom of the Choir of Thorns on the map.
Once you travel to the spot, you will see the same blue spike around the Prie Dieu, as we saw earlier on our way to the Lamp of the Whisper of the Mist room.
Now, from the Prie Dieus at Choir of Thorns, head right, walk through the mist, and once you make it to the other side, you will see a horse chariot waiting for you at the end. Walk on the chariot to begin your journey to the Third Sin DLC area in Blasphemous 2.
