Ultrakill: How to Find the Fraud Secret Level

It’s finally time, the Fraud layer has released, and with it bundles of new secrets, levels, and enemies. So far, almost every layer of Ultrakill has a Secret Level, even if they’re not implemented as soon as the layer releases.

These Secret Levels are super fun genre swaps of the main combat loop, and each is hidden uniquely. Fraud’s will require some side pathing and intuition, both of which I’ll provide a little help with.

    Finding the Code

The Fraud Secret Level is hidden in plain sight, so finding the code is the real challenge. You’ll find it later in 8-2, Through the Mirror.

About halfway through the stage, you’ll find yourself ascending a hill spotted with office equipment. Head north of where you enter to flip into a nighttime version of the hill, with a shining door across a bridge.

Instead of heading straight for the door, descend the hill until you find a doorway. This doorway leads to an optional encounter against 5 Deathcatchers, each sealed in a protective case.

A giant clock face on the wall will summon waves of enemies, first a single Sisyphean Insurrectionist, then two Drones, followed by two Virtues.

The Deathcatchers will each summon a copy of every enemy as it’s slain, forcing you to focus on the fresh foes and utilizing the endless arena to your advantage.

Each new wave arrives when the clock strikes twelve, so keep mobile to avoid being overwhelmed. Once all the original enemies have died, the Deathcatcher’s shields will lower, and must be finished off with a melee attack.

With all four dead, head to the door at the north of the arena with a glowing green exist sign above it.

Inside you’ll find a corpse atop a bed, praying, with a 6-digit code behind it, 142412.

That code will lead you to the secret level, now the only question is, where could it be?

The entrance to Fraud’s Secret Level can be accessed right at the start of 8-2, if you know where to look.

Once you load in, dive into the pool of water directly ahead, flipping to the nighttime version of the stage. You’ll find yourself in an office complex, with only a few unlocked doors.

Once you enter, head to your right through the window-like opening, then take a left through the burst-open passageway and ascend the stairs through the unlocked door.

Follow the unlocked doors until you find a room with a projected presentation, a spiral staircase, and an elevator. Enter the elevator and press the buttons in the code’s order. You don’t need to wait to move to every floor, just hit the buttons in order.

You’ll know the code has been entered correctly if the lights suddenly cut as the elevator rumbles downward. After a few moments, the door will enter, and you’ll find yourself in a small room with the Secret Level’s entrance.

Sadly, at time of writing, the Secret Level is currently under development, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer to find out what exactly Hakita and the rest of the Ultrakill team have in store.
